Looks real good only time will tell
This clip was and exact replacement on my Mini Winie motor home. It even had the screw holes in the same places. Looks like nice stainless better than the originals but only time will tell on the quality of this product. For now its doing the job of hold my storage hatch covers open. Don't forget when you install them always put a bit of good quality silicone on the screws before installing keeps the water out and keeps the screws tight.

Works great!
Firs of all, DO NOT expect to put these exactly where your old door catches were. They are smaller than my original clips and the holes did not line up with the old ones. That ended up working as an advantage for me because The original holes in my camper were a bit stripped out. I filled the old holes with caulk, put a small amount of caulk on the back of these clips and installed them within just a few minutes. The only other piece of advice that I can offer is to make sure before screwing the new clips in place, make sure that they will hold the door open. These are shorter than most originals so you may need to put them closer to the door that you might expect.

The latch part is not actually stainless and eventually (4 years) broke.
After 4 years of use, the hook pieces broke (right at the narrow area behind the hook).I believe the hook part is made of plated zinc. The mounting bracket is stainless. Neither had much corrosion in our salt-air environment.

Serving its purpose... so far
So Four Winns puts out some crazy companionway/cabin doors in their boats. The acrylic door actually cracked and broke on my 1997 Four Winns Vista 278 because of the poor factory designed catch system. After having the door recreated (obsolete), I had to figure out a new way to secure the door OPEN while underway, and not have it bang around and break again. Enter JR Products 10245 baggage door catch. Installed in 5 minutes, seems very well made and sturdy. It holds the door, just as I hoped it would.I gave 4 stars because I cannot vouch for its longevity - I just installed it 2 days ago. If you are on the fence, I can say that this is a quality product that does not feel or look cheaply made.

Should last a long time.
Purchased these to replace original plastic clips that were starting to become brittle and break from the sun. I did not use the supplied screws, instead I used stainless steel self tapping screws that I supplied. As to what others have mentioned about not fitting in existing holes from old clips. I prefer them to not fit in same holes. This way I know that these will be tight. Just put sealant in old holes before installing these. The base of these clips covered existing holes so really it wasn’t an issue.

Way better than plastic
I have a 1998 motorhome and the stock plastic baggage door clips became brittle and started cracking off one-by-one. I decided that I wanted something more durable and this is it. I bought a few extras just to have as spares, but probably shouldn't have since these will last a lifetime. They come two per package and also come with four stainless steel screws, which is nice. You'll probably need to get some wall anchors to fasten these to the side of the RV. In order for me to get the old plastic baggage door clips off, I had to drill out some rivets which made the hole in the RV wall larger than the stainless steel screw. I laid a bead of silicone caulk underneath the new stainless clips before I screwed them on. These should provide me with a lifetime of use and the caulk underneath has now made them anchored in a waterproof manner. They look really sharp on the side of my RV. Much nicer than any plastic ones out there.

These seem to be very good quality and only time will tell if they hold ...
As usual, the holes never seem to line up but it's not hard to make them work. So, 1 star off because they could make them a more universal fit by elongating one of the holes (but just 1, please!). These seem to be very good quality and only time will tell if they hold up. I replaced the original plastic ones after about 8 years with white plastic ones. After 1 year they were looking bad and I think one broke. So, I'm trying these stainless steel ones with high hopes.

Nice heavy metal and strong spring
Our camper had cheaply made plastic storage door retainers and one had the 'paper clip' style wire fall out of the spring and the rest fell apart. I saw that these were metal so knowing I needed to replace the one, I ordered 2 sets so I would have enough to replace all four on our camper. There are 3 pre-drilled holes in each and lucky for me, two of them matched to the holes from my previous latches so replacement was quick and simple with the supplied screws. I put a squirt of silicone in the previous holes and behind each clamp to keep water from seeping behind and into each hole. Work better than factory and very pleased with the heavy quality.

Good quality product.
Although the mounting screws were different from the original, it was installed without issues and appears to be of good quality.
