A bastard who was given to a baby farmer
Lavinia Kent a lady of nobility is in the run from her family after she left at the alter her groom and found refuge in a home for orphans. She is committed to rescue babies from a baby farm. It is a sad story but beautiful and gave us a the ugly side of the nobility of London in the 19th century. Baby farms was a dirty practice for the perrage families to gave their illegitimate babies or newborn to woman who announces themselves to accepts babies for a fee and the families gave them to those woman. The horrible is most of the children were murdered and the lucky ones were to find a woman who accepted them, very few or through out the streets when they were more older. Baby farms and Lavinia mission was to rescue them pay money to the woman and bring them to the orphanage runs by two nuns. One night Lavinia went to a place in one of the most dangerous place in London to rescue one but she was set up your two woman who aggressively try to murder her because she was ruining their business. A man show up and the woman runs like devil is after them. The man was a old love when she wAs a teenager and he was a horse butcher. He was one member of the Trelow family a group of baby farm whose the woman has a heart and she raise them as her children. The problem with story, don’t get me wrong the book worth the money. This is the issue because the couple knows when they were very young the story goes back to those days to explains how they meet. He was a commoner and she nobility and naturally their relationship has to keep in secret for some time. He name Finn one of the Trelow family a baby farm and I recommend to read the previous two books that you will understand how their relationship is evolve like a time travel, because their relationship is from when they were younger. Do not get up set because from time to time the story go back to that time but for only few chapters but is worth the money and time expended in reading. There many issues in these series some sad and happy too. It is a family story about a group of bastards children who were lucking to find a good mother. Show that family does not need to be by blood instead by love. I laught and cry with them, follow them in their journey to find their biological parents and build aplace for them in society. Mrs Lorriane Heath does not disappoint and she will not disappoint the readers. I read most of her books and keep for years and now in my kindle. I recommend this book and all the series. You will fall in love with Trelow family now go to the store or kindle, nook or any device and bought the book. I gave her five stars something that I do not gave it to any book because this is not any book. You will cry and understand the Lavinia and Finn story and the dark side of baby farm. The sex scene are very hot and for the first time I read about situation that only is perfect for shades of gray.

Amazing Second Chance Romance
This definitely felt like a return to the Lorraine Heath magic after the 2nd book. The first one is still my favorite in the series though.I figured I would like this because it has a lot of my catnip. There are class differences (pretty standard for Heath) and a second chance romance. There are also a decent amount of secrets. Again, I think this is something Ms. Heath does a lot. They were pretty guessable secrets-she tends to keep them a mystery from the reader, too. Sometimes I find this is redundant but she doesn’t draw things out until the last 5 pages like a lot of other authors.Ms. Heath blended the past and present fairly well. The past was given enough time to build a foundation for Finn and Lavinia’s romance, but didn’t overwhelm the present. You could feel their attraction, but it wasn’t as strong as it could’ve been for me.Lavinia was more developed than Finn. A lot of his character seemed to be based on his relationship with her. I would’ve just preferred more of him. Finn seems like a really nice guy and I love a nice hero. The ending did feel a bit rushed. Lavinia especially went on an emotional journey very fast. It felt forced because the book needed to wrap-up. Overall, I did really enjoy this though.

Goodness! Read. This. Book.
I have been waiting to read the story of Finn and Lavinia for months. I immediately bought it when Amazon sent me an email of its release. I read it in one sitting at the risk of my eye bags getting eye bags. It was that good. This book made me feel and really triggered emotions. A story of first love and second chances. What is not to like? I know some people don’t like spoilers so I will try to relate my reading experience without giving too much of the plot away.Finn and Lavinia met when they were very young (21 & 15). At first it was a deep friendship for years until Lavinia came of age and they started acknowledging their romantic feelings towards each other. Theirs was a secret love affair because Lavinia is of the aristocracy and Finn was an illegitimate commoner. They were very much in love (and lost their virginity to each other, sigh). They were supposed to elope but things went wrong. They met again eight years after. Finn was observing and protecting Lavinia from afar while she does her charity work in the not so safe area of London. Eventually, they had their inevitable confrontation. I will stop here because the plot is just so amazing that you have to read it for yourself to really appreciate it and enjoy it. It will not disappoint. There were secrets and twists and revelations and character’s decisions that made for a good and seamless reading journey. In the end there is a happy ending. And a happy reader—- me. Hahaha.I will wait for the next book in the series. I am glad I bought this because I have a feeling I will want to reread this book.

Heartbreaking
An absolutely wonderful story of enduring love in the most difficult of circumstances. I wept twice ,long time since I've done that with a book!

It’s good, but not as good as the others
If you like escapism, you will probably like this book. However the ending was obvious and I found the heroine whinny and victim blaming. Other than that, the lead male character was great.

Estou adorando acompanhar a família Trewlove. Vamos aguardar! Comprarei o livros físicos conforme forem lançados aqui no Brasil.
