Not worth it
I found the book very superficial, although she is trying to witty and blunt but still it sounds politically correct. Parts of it is funny but it soon start sounding redundant.

Fun read
Hilarious book. Twinkle Khanna explains her life and daily adventures in a funny and relatable manner. Whether it's making a few comments about her domestic helper or explaining how she tries to fit into her hubby's family - it's all fun and truthful. Easy to read and you will definitely chuckle along the way.

Honest, brutal entertainment
I just loved reading it. We think of celebs as aliens who descend as super humans with nothing to do and struggle for (except Hits and projects). You take us so close in your life and make every woman feel so real and yet so special coz we all go through almost the same things in our lives

relaxin with chick lit
Surprisingly good read! She manages to keep the reader engaged and smiling. Good for a relaxing afternoon. She manages to make her life ordinary and believable and it might not be that untrue....

One Time Read
It is good read but also a compilation of Mrs Funnybones columns that have already been published in the newspapers and are easily available over the net. So why should one spend money to read the same stuff in a book?

Crisp and witty!
Recently ordered this book and read it the very same day in under 2 hours! It kept me on the hook. I could not keep it down before finishing it.I liked the following things about the book:- 233 pages of sheer wit!- The distribution of chapters alphabetically with a one liner intro- The general approach to each and everyone who wishes to pick it up- Basic struggles actors go through in daily life (not exagerated), relatable to all- To the point- Funny and sarcastic, but not overdone- Overall representation of the text, with small doodles here and there- SINGLE read book! I loved how I finished it in a go.- To make the above more satisfactory, very pocket friendly (Thanks to amazon)Many people might not like this book because they are expecting way too much from the story. I would suggest to just read it one page at a time with absolutely no preconceptions. You'll like it.Lastly thanks to Amazon for the timely delivery.I recommend.

like me, haven’t gotten around to it you could ...
After the entire world had read it, reviewed it and heaped praises on it, finally I got around to reading Twinkle Khanna’s Mrs Funnybones. In fact, this really isn’t a review at all, just some thoughts about the book. If you’re one of the minuscule number who, like me, haven’t gotten around to it you could take a read.I read her columns, along with millions of others, and like them too but somehow I kept pushing the book away. The thing is I’m a novel -reader. Bits and bytes of storytelling don’t tempt me. But then the kids’ had their exams and I was looking for something short, light and happy that I could read on and off between their multiple calls for help. Mrs Funnybones fitted the bill to a tee. This is a collection of, what seem like journal entries or blogposts, from the life of Twinkle Khanna – a mom of two. What would have otherwise been random disconnected, though interesting, slice-of-life entries, transform into an engrossing read by her unfailing wit and self-deprecatory humour with bits of life-learnings thrown in.The book is a great mix, specially in my current preoccupied state of mind.Twinkle Khanna had a short stint at Bollywood, is the wife of a famous actor and the daughter of one too, however the book doesn’t read like the life of a celebrity. And yet there is no effort to block off the famous family members or shy away from the fame – the husband’s or the mom’s. They step in and out of the pages of the book perhaps just as they walk in and out of the house – easily, naturally, nonchalantly. I enjoyed those glimpses. The book has plenty of endearing moments – her sleeplessness over an impending photoshoot as also her worry when a bunch of family members descend at her home for a festive get-together, her rush to the book-store to buy a book that her son needs for an assignment, her impatience with fasting for Karwa Chauth, yet finding the fun in the festivities. Enjoyable, relatable. The best thing about Mrs Funnybones is that she finds a connect with you without ever getting mundane.I have to add, though, that try as I might I cannot picture her hailing an auto with two children in tow. Are the days of famous people being mobbed really all gone? Or even that bit where she’s frying McCain samosas in the kitchen, drenched in sweat. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not disbelieving her, just finding it hard to. No, it isn’t the same thing.

Overrated
I had a lot of expectations about this book but was disappointed. The author is funny but she definitely needs to learn and understand that one does not need to use such complex vocabulary to string a long sentence. Simple yet funny is what she should have gone for. I also found that there was no plot or series of events that formed a story line. Waste of £10 !

Very witty and satirical view on life and relationships
Enjoyed the book. A very satirical view about life, the prodigal son, the husband, the mother. The writing is very witty. Looking forward to reading her next book.

A laugh riot. Very interesting and well written. Gives an insight on the lives of top bollywood celebrity couple and shows just how similar their lives are to any of us.

Breezy, Easy, And Funny
I finished this book in four hours. No water break, no loo break, just four hours of reading and I was done. That could be because the Mrs Funnybones is a quick read and also because I had read most of the columns in a newspaper before. I used to love Twinkle Khanna’s column in DNA. She is witty, amusing and unabashed. She does not mince her words for anybody and her brutal honesty can prick a little. However, her sense of humour is unmatched and I read the book only to jostle my funny bone on a rather dull day.Mrs Funnybones by Twinkle KhannaSynopsis: Mrs Funnybones is a compilation of satirical stories written by Twinkle Khanna for various newspapers. The book captures some hilarious incidences in her daily life and her amusing take on each of them.Points I Liked About Mrs Funny BonesHumour: The author has an opinion about everything and she presents most of her thoughts in a humorous way. Some of her words did seem a little offensive but then I accepted it as her opinion and not as the ultimate truth so I enjoyed the book even more. The author belongs to a wealthy family which is why her problems and solutions may not appeal to the common folk reading the book. In fact, most of the content might not even be relatable but it is a glimpse into her real (privileged) life and for me it was just a different angle to look at life. My favourite chapter is Hurricanes hit my household in which she talks about her staff member who is an oblivious menace to her. I had read this column in DNA and was happy to read it again in the book. This chapter is a MUST read. Here are some funny excerpts from Mrs Funnybones“Don't look down on people because they can see the crap stuck up your nostril.”“Naming me Twinkle was a foolproof way of making sure that I would get teased throughout my life, have immigration officers at various airports stare at my passport and shake with hysterical laughter and strangers stalk me with WhatsApp messages like, ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, little star, I hope you get hit by a car!’”“The man of the house has very politely informed guests who have come to see the baby that I am unavailable, as I am ‘milking’, and thereby sealed my status from cool chick to mooing cow.”“Our little satellite reached Mars because it was called MOM. If it was called DAD, it would still be circling the Earth, lost, but not willing to ask for directions.”“We may have potholed roads but at least we have many people willing to travel with us on them.”“After fourteen years of matrimony, I have discovered that hoping your other half telepathically reads your mind only leads to someone wanting to punch the other one in the face.”Points I Did Not Like About Mrs Funny BonesThis one is a very short read and the author has made a jibe at herself, her husband and even her mother. So, basically, no one is spared of witty remarks. I may not agree with all her opinions but I enjoyed every single page of this book. No complaints here.Final View: Four hours is the fastest I have ever finished a book. Mrs Funnybones is really ‘funny’ and entertaining. I would recommend this book to everyone who respects others opinions and is looking for a light read.Originally posted on AlphaGirlReviews.com

Funny all through the way. It's anecdotal and every situation is made hilarious because of the way Twinkle khanna writes. Mrs funnybones has funny bones indeed.
