Sonic The Hedgehog Vol. 1: Fallout (Sonic The Hedgehog (2018-))

Now, I should have probably read more carefully. However, due to the lack of intelligence I have, I will say I was thoroughly delighted and dissapointed (both being personal and not in any way about the product quality).When it turned up I had no idea what to expect since this was my first official "Sonic the Hedgehog" comic book that I had purchased. It came in a simple, yet sturdy, amazon letter. I will say that perhaps the dispatchers could wrap the product up in bubble wrap or something else to ensure maximum protection.So, when I opened it up, I thought this was the size for just issue #1. I was thoroughly excited about this and immediately dived in. I shall be keeping all story hidden however I shall say that if you have not played the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, XBOX or PC Version of "Sonic Forces" which was released in the year 2017 in September I believe, you may not fully be able to understand what the plot is about.Or at least that's what I WOULD say. This comic book manages to give the reader a thorough (as a comic book can be) explanation as to what has just happened in terms of canonical story for the Sonic series.So, I read through the first quarter of this comic and eventually figured out that it was a four-part comic book (meaning it contained issues #1 - #4 so it was basically a bundle for the first four comic books). I felt ripped off however I decided to check on the comic itself for any sort of indicator for this and thank goodness IDW stated that it was a bundled issue otherwise I would've become mortal (and being alive for 1600 years that would basically mean instant death like the final section in Mystic Mansion during that trippy three challenge part with- okay i'm rambling).I shall explain nothing else. I have rated this as the applicable rating of 91/100 or 4/5 stars as I believe the only flaw this comic possesses is the packaging it comes in as it has a greater chance of being damaged during transit whereas some comics (like the DC ones) include bubble wrap or some secondary defense again transit damage. For the price, I am immensely satisfied and will be sure to purchase both Volumes #2 and #3 in order to give them a proper review. Congratulations IDW for releasing an outstanding comic series and I look forward to the rest in January and April.

Despite the mix up with an order the book eventually arrived! The customer service was brilliant! Amazon need to update their delivery times and make it more accurate though -__-. Book arrived in immaculate condition, everything intact cannot wait to read as a beginner to the comics!However I would like to say to maintain the books condition, amazon delivery workers may want to consider not putting books through the letter slot especially if it wont fit and could damage the comic? Did not happen with mine but I was anxious nonetheless watching it go through the tiny slot. Aside from that so so excited to give it a read! The art style looks incredible!

Brought as Christmas present

Gave this a go due to the nostalgia of reading Sonic Comics when I was younger, and hearing IDW were publishing it after hearing how well they've done with it and their TMNT and Transformers series. Really enjoyed it, story seems simple so far but appears to be building up to something while also being a good jumping on point. Very nice artwork overall! Would recommend if you're a Sonic fan
