Art deco tool for power citrus juicing
I juice a lot of citrus for cooking and drinks and this looks so cute and stylish in the kitchen but it is super easy to use and clean as well! Takes the hard work out of making lime juice and I can juice dozens of limes in minutes and extract more of the precious juices without waste. Expensive but wonderful tool for kitchen needs if you do a lot of juicing.

Quality! Appealing appearance and easy to use and clean up!
The SMEG Juicer is top notch. Fast, easy to use and clean up is as simple as it gets. It sits out on our counter as the size is compact and it's appearance is appealing. Value for the money is A+. We will definitely be adding more SMEG appliances to our kitchen.

Smeg vs Breville
I have tested many of the juicers listed on Amazon. I used the hands free Vinci which is a very nice machine at a reasonable price for a year but the plastic started to disintigrate and get into the juice and that is not healthy. Thus I started testing several juicers, all of which I have returned except the Breville. I specifically wanted a juicer with little or no plastic parts and settled first on the Smeg and then the Breville. I have had the Breville one week, I used the Smeg six weeks I juice 2 oranges a day, one after the other. The Breville costs between $50-$60 more than the Smeg The Breville is much heavier than the Smeg The Breville does not tip or move during operation, the Smeg does The Breville does not require much arm pressure, the Smeg does The Breville's reamer is better than the Smeg's The Breville gets more juice out than the Smeg The Breville is somewhat harder to clean than the Smeg The pulp sticks to and is harder to get out of the Breville filter, not so the Smeg The steel parts of the Breville are not as nicely finished as those of the Smeg The Breville's spout stays up better than the Smeg The Breville's spout stops juice from splattering outside the glass, not so the Smeg The Breville did not come with a bowl to catch the juice, the Smeg did but it was not stable. CONCLUSION The Smeg is better made than the Breville in that the parts are machined much better. No sharp edges and the filter cleans much easierr than the Breville. The edges of the Breville filter have not been dulled but are potentially sharp enough to cut into a hand if one is not careful. The reamer of the Smeg is duller and does not get out as much juice as the Breville. But the real deal breakers as far as the Smeg is concerned are two fold: The Smeg requires considerable arm/hand pressure on the reamer to get the juice out, and worse yet, the Smeg moves while being operated. They should have rubberized the legs to prevent this. It also tips when applying the necessary hand pressure on the reamer. The Breville with its long handle gets the juice out effortless and completely reams the oranges. But, in my opinion the design could be better. Why the top part is tilted I have no idea, but there must have been a reason. They have been making this thing since 2005. As a result, it is not so easy to remove the reamer, filter and sub filter without scraping the handle, which pops off if desired but may have probems if this is done on a regular basis. As I am not taking the handle off, I do not know. I have only had it a week but will update this review after a month or two.

Fiat of Juicers
Fun, cute and stylish! Perfect for quick citrus juicing for cooking, baking and cocktails. Easy to use and clean. If you have your own citrus grove and want something that will juice 30+ oranges in one shot, you should probably invest in a commercial juicer. This isn’t that type of workhorse—I would think that would be obvious…Says right in the manual not to operate for over 3 minutes of continuous use. Whether this juicer is over-priced is debatable. For some of us, there is enjoyment in owning a smartly-designed appliance that’s attractive enough to be displayed on the countertop. My old manual citrus press could continue to be adequate for my purposes, sure. But my Smeg juicer and kettle brighten my mornings and are a joy to use. Yes, some parts of the juicer are plastic, but knowing that citrus can be corrosive to metal, it makes sense to me that the spout hinge and catch container are plastic… I also don’t experience any instability at all, during use. The four rubber feet keep the unit firmly in place, no matter how hard I press down the fruit or angle it. I suppose if the cord isn’t wound or placed correctly it could make things wobbly, but that’s easily remedied. And noisy? No. A reviewer said their neighbor complained? My cat purrs louder than this juicer’s motor LOL.

Nightmare juicer
It was a disaster…smeg juicer had an American plug (not mentioned in the ad) and when fitted with an adapter still didn’t work. American electrical products work on a different electrical currency. Wasn’t told it was coming from America, wouldn’t have ordered it.

Love our Smeg
We have a Smeg toaster and this juicer looks super cute next to it. We've had it for a few years and it works great for fresh orange juice, or other citrus fruits. Simple to use and easy to take apart for washing. Glad we got it and haven't had any issues.
