Sansha Women's Tivoli Dance Shoe

Great shoe for most people, just not for my foot.These were bought for a male. In a men's dress shoe I wear 10 or rarely 9.5. 9.5 Converse brand Chuck Taylors. I wear a 10.5 athletic shoe. I can sometimes better fit in women's athletic shoes. I wear a 11.5 women's Converse Chuck Taylor and some other shoes but that size is hard to find. So I am usually is forced to buy athletic shoes size 12 in women's, EUR 44 or 44.5 and they fit pretty good but sometimes a tad long.I got a size 14 in this shoe. So that is 2 sizes up from my largest women's size. That works out to 3.5 sizes up from my largest men's size.Let me explain my shoe needs: For a male I have a narrow heel and slightly narrow toebox with a higher than normal arch for most men my age/height. I have a very slender foot that seems like it is all bone and very little soft tissues of the foot. Women's shoes fit me much better sometimes because men's narrow shoes are very rare and when I do find them they are often too narrow in the toes.With no socks: I was not able to lace the shoe tight enough because when I pulled the laces tight the two sides with the eyelet holes touched and that was as tight as these shoes are designed to go. So it has a slightly sloppy fit around the shoe and I guess found this very strange, I would think dance shoes for women would be made to fit the slender feet of female dancers yet it won't fit a slightly slender foot of a male. So it gapes a bit around the middle of the foot (at the arch above and on the sides).My big toe was a little cramped for length but after wearing around the house the shoe stretched in length enough to where I think its tolerable enough to wear for the short periods that I will be wearing it. I would like to try the 15 but am worried that it will be even more loose around my foot.The heel was only slightly too wide but I am so used to that I won't even consider that a problem.With socks: If I wear a thicker sock it fits much better for me in the heel and around the middle of my foot but my toe gets cramped up again.If the sides of the shoes were a little shorter then a person could lace it tighter without the two sides of the shoe coming together and touching. Once they come together and touch there is no more adjustment for how tight it is going to get around the middle of the foot. If not for that issue for me these would be excellent jazz shoes!As they are, they probably would be great for most people. People with a very thin foot might need to look somewhere else. For everyone else, just make sure you size up properly. Good Luck!

I used this for turns in a musical, they worked great, although I had to wear light thin black ankle socks with. So, purchase your normal size if you don't want to wear socks. And yes yes yes, you can do turns! (Pirouettes, yes, true ballet ones, I'm looking at you!)

Definitely buy bigger than you normally wear. Don't wear outside, no padding for it. But to dance in if you buy the right size, comfortable.

I love this shoe so much. It's so well made, perfectly what I want, but they are too small. I normally wear an 8.5.I thought I ordered a size 10 based on reviews that said up to 2 sizes larger.I must have made a mistake on my order because A size 9 came and it is exactly one size too small. I am bummed they don't have any in stock in Size 10 white.Wondering if I just didn't notice it changed my 10 to a 9 during the order process because the 10's are out of stock.Now.I don't even know how to send them back.

I ordered a size 9 for my daughter. A sticker was on the package said Size 9, but a different sticker said women's size 8 and the shoe itself said size 8. I tried it on since I wear a size 8 and it was too small. So I returned and ordered 2 sizes larger (size 11). We will see if that will fit.

I purchased these shoes because they reminded me of the shoes that I used to wear in my beloved Jazz class ages ago. These shoes offer excellent support, while still allowing for beautiful articulation when you pointe your foot. They have excellent shock absorption if you're doing a lot of jumps, and they offer amazing traction for turns. Make sure you go to Sansha's website and check out their size chart prior to ordering. I wear an 8.5, and I ended up ordering a 10 and they fit perfectly.

I usually wear another Sansha shoe that runs 1 to 1/2 times larger than my regular shoe size. I wear a 7 1/2 and always get a 9. The Sansha Tivoli in a 9 just fit. My toes touched the front. No room at all to move. For what I use them for they were ok. I think if I purchase them again I would get a 10.

The product is good but smaller than I thought. I'm usually 39 1/2 and ordered a 10, should ordered 10 1/2

For dancing.I never had this problem before but the left is much smaller than the other and I feel totally uncomfortable.I thought it might stretch but not so far.Anyway if they stretch the right will be too big.

It keeps slipping off when I dance & so I now wind the lace around my ankles & tie at the ankle. Maybe the back shd hv been a bit taller?

Order few sizes up. I'm 8.5, ordered 10 and even that was too small. Now I'm debating to order 11 or 12. Otherwise it's a very nice shoe, barefoot feeling
