Highly accurate way of measuring
There is lot of places on my job with what I do. Places that you just can not measure with a traditional measuring tape. Some times it takes 2 people to hold a tape, this laser measuring is highly effective and accurate. I love it. It is expensive but I hope well worth the investment.

Do not buy this product
Do not buy any Hilti products. I brought this PD E from Amazon and Hilti will not warranty it. Less than two years of light duty use before it threw an error code ( 415 ) and stopped working. I contacted Amazon they said contact Hilti for service. Hilti told me they would not warranty it. I had previously been under the impression Hilti built quality products and stood behind them. After being told they would not. I can only warn you to avoid all of Hilti products especially the PD-E. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Expensive but half the price of store front
Maybe I'm a geek but this thing is so much fun to play with. Just look up Hilti's youtube videos and practice along. Very cool Laser.

Great measuring device
Use this for work. Pretty easy to use and cuts my measuring time in half. This is my second Hilti laser in15 years. Highly recommend.

I work alone a lot and this unit makes all my measuring reliable and accurate. It works indoors and outdoors perfectly, you have to get used to really exact measurements, but you can change the accuracy level you need. it does indirect measurements like measuring a roof-line from the ground or measuring a tree height, the applications are endless. I even use it for installing cabinets and doors and windows, i love this tool. I had a problem with my unit after almost one and a half years of hard use and Hilti sent me a prepaid UPS label and i sent it back to them and they sent me a brand new unit within days, great service, and a great tool

Received a damaged used unit when it was supposed to be new
The product was supposed to be new and I received a very heavily used unit. Not only was it used, it emitted an error code from the moment it was turned on. I immediately returned and am awaiting a refund. It is disheartening to have experienced such a breach of trust with my order.

It’s shows glasses in picture but it wasn’t included in the purchase
