A pleasant alternative to table salt
Like many people, I had some health concerns about MSG, but I did some research and concluded that the MSC scare is really nothing more than media hype. And since I was looking for a good alternative to salt, I decided to give this a try. MSG doesn't really change the flavor of food, but rather seems to enhance it a bit. I've used this on many different kinds of food (meat, fish, vegetables, etc.) and I've just started adding it to my spaghetti sauces. It makes a low-sodium diet a lot more palatable. This was a little pricier than most grocery store spices, but it can be hard to find, and a little goes a long way, so I think it's a fair value for the money.

Great for flavoring
Everyone talks poorly about MSG but like anything else, if used in moderation and used appropriately it’s great. I use this in sauces, soups, and gravies. It really gives dishes like chili or even spaghetti sauce an extra boost of flavor. It’s like salt so use sparingly and taste as you go. I also use this when making Asian food and sauces. Only use while cooking though. It’s not like salt where you can add it on after cooking. It needs to cook in with the food for best flavor.

Keep Calm and Flavor On.
As an American I'm not sure why the rest of y'all are so spooked up over this stuff. It's just a salt taken from plants. A little glutamate. MSG can really take you your cooking game to the next level. And the so-called side effects are the SAME that a person would experience if they ingest more salt than THEY should. Which makes sense...because its a salt. Anyway, this particular brand is ground to a favorable consistency. Fresh and no clumping. I notice the flavor enhancements starkly when I use it in my egg drop soup, chicken and dumplings or veggies. I've tried it on a few steaks and pork ribs a couple of times and can't really say I observed a noticeable improvement to the flavor. Although, not to toot my own horn, I'm know as the grill master around here and its hard to improve upon the perfection that I make over hot coals. With that being said, if any of you have been cautious or concerned about using MSG, I suggest you research CREDIBLE and SCIENTIFIC sources about it's origin, production and effects. (it won't take you long) And then (only if you're ready) by this brand because its more affordable and it seems to me, to be of good quality. Be well guys.

An amazing tool for cooking but you need to be careful with it
I bought this last year and I just ran out It's an incredible addition to my cooking and it really helps when I'm in a pinch for more flavor. But you need to be careful with it. Just because it tastes savory in your mouth it's still salt at the end of the day and you put too much you're gonna get yourself sick.

I always wanted to try a bottle of this.
I like it. I looked a few times at the grocery but they never have it. It is true that it adds a savory component to foods, i don't get any headaches or whatever they claim happens. A very light sprinkle on a slice of pizza, things like that, it "opens up" the flavor. Its not a huge difference, but it's there. Kinda like unsalted butter vs salted butter. Will it blow your mind? No. But if you have a big preference of salt on a baked potato vs no salt blandness, this might be for you.

Turn everyday dishes into wow-worthy bites.”
Did some research—MSG isn’t the villain people say it is. Tried it, loved it! Adds rich, umami depth without being salty. A little goes a long way, and the price is fantastic for the amount. Perfect for special meals or entertaining. I’ve used it on eggs, lamb shanks, pasta, seafood, and more—delicious every time. Highly recommend!
