It took some dexterity (initially) for the 4 year old, but he eventually mastered it. You have to make certain the tube is retracted when loading the rocket otherwise it will bend and could loose compression. We have seen them multiple times since giving the gift and they are constantly playing with them. In all in was worth the price.

It's good fun, and my 3 year old really likes it. The toy is made up of a red plastic tube that slides inside a cardboard tube. By pushing the red portion into the cardboard portion, the air is pressed out the end to make the rocket fire. The red tube fits into the red handle, but it doesn't fit securely and came apart more than once. A little hot glue solved that problem. The other minor complaint is that the red tube comes right out of the cardboard tube if you pull it that far. Frequently my 3 year old will pull it all the way out just before firing, which takes a moment to reinsert. Not a deal breaker by any means. It's a pretty inexpensive toy, and the fun for the price is worth it.

Bought these as gifts to give away at a birthday party. Each child got one and loved it. We set up foam rings and made a game out of shooting the rockets through them. We did have some of them not hold up for too long, but wereA big hit. We just bought a couple extra for spares.

I got this for my three year old son and he promptly list it(it was under the couch) so I ordered another one and now we have two. Please order two because now my husband and I have rocket battles and it amazing. Oh yeah and my son loves it to lolll

I used these to teach the laws of Physics to my Special Needs Students!!! My students had a blast!!! The pump rockets were not to durable. By the end of the week the cardboard began to tear and the tips of the rockets reared off also. But the rockets served the purpose and I used them for 2 weeks between 70 students!!! FUN! FUN!! FUN!!!

So simple but so fun. It's easy for my three yr old to use and his five year old cousin loves it too. They are delicate enough that they even shoot them at each other. It's a great buy for my fourteen yr old and my husband too.lol

Great little rocket for the park, son loved it (aged 7). Only comes with one rocket but for the price brilliant fun.

one of the rocket wings was broken off, but has been re-glued. Top of cardboard tube could be stronger, but great fun- cant see them lasting too long, but thoroughly enjoyable especially for the father and grandfather!

These are great fun. They work well. Can be used anywhere as the foam rockets are unlikely to hurt anyone. My son had a space party, and we used these.
