These are excellent "slip-on" real leather trainers from Skechers. As I anticipated, they appear to be well made, are light and comfortable - even when new and after an initial long walk to "break" them in..There's good arch support and the memory foam insoles ensure a comfortable and reassuring fit. They are easily cleaned with a suede brush and their appearance improves with time.That said, when new, they are particularly tricky to put on. Indeed, don't expect to be able to just slide your feet in. I had to use a shoehorn for a couple of weeks. After that, I still hold the loop on the heel. Obviously, the leather softens and stretches over time - and I learnt the knack! The up side is that the trainers feel secure and unlikely to fall off even on the roughest terrain.I suspect they aren't 100% waterproof in deeper puddles, however, I have worn them in heavy downpours with no issues. With thick socks, they are nice and warm in winter but reasonably cool in summer.I normally take a UK size 12 and these fit me perfectly. As always, I find Skechers sizing is dependable. I am surprised some reviewers claim they are a bit small. I suspect that may be due to the difficulties with putting them on. I too was a tad worried. However, as I said, once in situ, the sizing is excellent and as I would expect.So, at the current Amazon promotional price (~£45), IMHO, these are a bit of a bargain. My only word of caution is regarding the "slip-on" claim in the listing.......

I am not a formal shoe person, so I needed a smart/casual shoe for an event where trainers were not appropriate.These are a nice almost newbuck texture on what is a darker shade of brown. This slight texture will show more marks than a smoother leather but less than a full suede shoe.They are super lightweight and slip on easily without ever feeling like they may fall off. It’s obviously not suitable to play basketball ball in, twisting and turning, bout I would never feel like the shoes were slip ons when wearing them.Having worn them for a few weeks, they still look good and are still comfortable, the light weight sole and cushioned step are a joy to wear. Having sprayed them with a protective spray, I have no water marks on them after wearing them in the rain and they dried up nicely.I can be smart(ish) in them and dress them down with jeans and a t shirt, but as they are a dark shoe with a substantial heel, they would not be a hot summer shoe.That said, all in all, a great alternative for me instead of my trainers when I need something a bit smarter or more waterproof.

I've owned a pair of these before and wore them until they gave-up the ghost, after a long life.These are the ideal mid-tier slip-on shoes, they require little in the way of care and will last and last. An ideal pair of shoes for most people. Lightweight and well constructed.

Just arrived, on first inspection I thought no way is my foot getting in there!! Low and behold once I'd removed the internal packer, the opening stretched enough for my size 10 feet to slip in with a firm tug on the rear tag/loop, according to others this eases after a couple of weeks, I look forward to that.Well made, great price, smart, comfortable and light and as I have both diabetes and severe spinal issues they are an instant hit. Pleased with my purchase straight away and happily recommend them

Narrow fit and shoehorn required to get them on but really comfortable and look 👀 really good so pleased I bought them.
