We have some new relationship problems to deal with, coach Chika is made to suffer anew, the Student Council engages in lies and debauchery, and you know the drill by now. Some returning jokes are all the funnier when paired with the new characters, and our protagonists are finally becoming a little more honest with each other, with some goals being set in terms of love. But who cares about all that? Hayasaka, the best girl in everything, gets some emotional development, and proves that no matter what she does, she's adorable. I want a spin-off regarding Hayasaka's daily turmoil in the Shinomiya household. That aside, this volume is a little on the weaker side in terms of translation. There's some #MeToo and other, frankly out of place, allusions that really detracted from the story on the page. Either some editors just gave up, or else politics desire to ruin one more manga. Okay, it's not that extreme, but the little references are completely unnecessary, and I hope it is curtailed later. Review: Giri Giri - It really is about time that they just kissed already. But that is part of the reason we’re all still here.

Funny stuff
Kaguya-sama is a fantastic manga. This volume is one of my favorites so far. We get a deeper dive into some of Shirogane's views on authenticity. Some hilarious misunderstandings also occur. So as usual for this manga, it's very funny while also portraying characters with great depth. Volume 10 had some pretty glaring errors in the text that Viz didn't catch, but this volume seems to have none of those, though I can't comment on translation accuracy. The art looks good too. So yeah, I'm happy with this volume.

An excellent romantic comedy that needs a better translator.
The actual plot, the structure of the panels, and the drawings, are excellent. However, every single official release pails in quality to fan translations. At times the translation doesn't properly capture the physical expression in the panel, or outright misleads and suggests something other than what was really said. There is a rap chapter in this volume that you should simply look up the fan translation for. A quick example of changing meanings in the translation. Chika is a conservatively raised Japanese girl that mistakenly thinks two people are gay. In the original dialogue, Chika is confused, but excited (shown by the aroused nosebleed), and unsure if she's supposed to be disapproving. This official translation expresses none of that, and actually has her proclaim that she wants to see them do it. The translator has literally removed dimensions from the character.

Revealed Secrets Blows up the Student Council’s Expectations!
Kaguya is the vice president of their prestigious academy’s student council and she's in love with, Miyuki, the president, and he with her! BUT both are well aware that in love there is always a winner... and neither wants to be the "loser!" As both are geniuses and quite proud they spend each day laying in wait for an opportunity to get the other to confess without losing face... only Chika, their secretary and Ishigami, their treasurer, seem ready to innocently mess up their careful machinations. We’re being teased with this volume! Miyuki is sick of waiting for Kaguya to confess. Someone is feeling the pressure, this is what we’ve been waiting for! And we learn why Miyuki can’t wait any longer... and it’s a doozy of a reason. Now Kaguya needs to feel the pressure too... While we wait for Kaguya to get a clue we see the hidden sides of Ino, Ishigami and Hayasaka. And boy is it funny! I love how far Ino and Ishigami’s relationship has come. And seeing this different side showcases their future. It’s not what you’d expect from their history. And Chika really is such a catalyst! Hayasaka goes way out of her way to protect her relationship with a Kaguya. You’d think Kaguya’s BFF would know about Ai, but no that’s not how rich people work. This student council crew is such fun. Life is a battle and sometimes we lose and sometimes we win, but if we’re in the right company any difficulty is worth it. And Miyuki and Kaguya’s reactions are so outrageous that you want them to delay confessing so you can hang out with them all. No character is neglected in this manga and the reader wins because of it. I love the art in this series. It heightens the competition between our characters while also giving each character moments to shine. The paper version is even better! This is totally a series you need to pick up to see how funny, moving and gorgeous it is. Kaguya-sama: Love is War vol 11 reveals secrets that changes how we see the student council. And Miyuki is feeling the pressure. It’s now or never for this over achievers’ love!
