I once ran a one room school house and found Heller's books an excellent basic grammar teaching tool. I've since met adults to whom I've recommended them to when they've expressed that they never could retain what was what. The rhymes as well as the dynamic artwork serve to help with retention. I highly recommend Ruth Heller's books--get them ALL!

I found this book and was thrilled with the easy way it presented grammar laws that I had learned long ago and needed to review! It is a fun rhyming book making it easy to remember those rules we may not even remember learning! I showed it to two friends and immediately ordered it for both of them too.Great book, part of a series that addresses other grammar rules. I would like to have them all.

get this book possessives and how we use them. Heller also has beautifully drawn books about interjections, nouns, adjectives, verbs and more. Each one presents the purpose of the part of speech in left brain and filled-with-wonder drawings that will not bore the average child or adult. study them and your language and your writing will improve.

There are many adults, including professionals, who would benefit from reading this book. I would like to anonymously send one copy to each of them, but I might be found out🤣

Ruth Heller's books are always so special. Her artwork is superb. I read the book to a third grade class and they read with me! Their teacher said they were studying "pronouns".

I haven't yet read this one but I have read others in the series. They all focus on one part of the speech : Noun, verb, adverb and so on. They rhyme throughout and they have an amazing art display of images needed to get the point. The entire series is a must if you deal with learning children. I love all of the books by Ruth Heller.
