DALI Oberon 3 Bookshelf Speaker - Black (Pair)

These speakers are the best overall value you can get under $2000 for two-channel music enjoyment. They are musical, exciting, dynamic and balanced. The soundstage and imaging is incredible, and placement has never been easier. On top of everything else, they have a 7" bass driver where most other brands top out at 6.5" drivers. These speakers allow you to listen until you decide to do those other things life calls on you to do; in other words they don't tire you out! I have owned the Wharfedale Diamonds and Evo 4.1, Elac B6.2, and SVS Prime as well as some others that are not worth mentioning. I still own Elac Uni-Fi UB52, Polk RTi-A3, and Pioneer BS-22. All of these speakers have their own good qualities but none of them -- absolutely none of them -- can stand up to the Dali Oberon 3 sound. Of all those speakers mentioned above I would have to say that the Elac Uni-Fi would come closest to producing a great musical experience; they just aren't lively enough neither do they have that big soundstage presence that the Dali does. I salute Dali for their commitment to excellence and for producing a speaker system that is a pleasure to listen to all the time and that didn't cause me to take out a second mortgage to afford. Incidentally, I now have two pairs of these great speakers! I am preparing to go to the next level with Dali because if these are this good, I can only imagine what the next level must be like.

I've been running these for around a month and feel I have a good understanding of their sound. Little background: I've had a pair of Klipsch RP-600Ms for around a year and, while I love the dynamic sound, I found them a bit too fatiguing in long listening sessions. Because of this my goal was to find a pair of speakers that retain the dynamics while providing a smoother, less fatiguing delivery. I purchased these DALIs based on a recommendation and couldn't be more pleased. In my experience they take about 20-30 hours of break-in to start blooming, but once you get passed this they sound fantastic! They have a sound that I can best describe as lush. It's detailed without sounding rigid and a bit forward without sounding bright. The tweeter and driver maintain great cohesion and delivery a very balanced, smooth sound that never gets fatiguing. I can listen to these for hours on end without getting tired. They're also fantastic with off-axis performance and are designed to be pointed straight forward. Because of this I found them much easier to position than my old speakers, which were a bit finicky with placement. This is super important to me because my listening room is small and I don't have a lot of room to experiment with placement. I currently have them paired with a Rega IO amplifier and cannot be more pleased with the sound!

Paired these Dali Oberon 3 speakers with a Willsenton R8 tube amplifier and an Eversolo A6 Master streamer. Incredible clarity and more bass than I had inticipated for bookshelf speakers. The speakers come with what looks like scatches on the woofer but this is normal and is natural wood fibers used in the manufacturing process. Also I recommend using without the grill cover for better performance. Great value! Highy recommended.

Smooth and balanced sound. Use with Cambridge CXA 61 and U-Turn Turntable/Preamp. Did quite a bit of research and kept coming back to these. Highly recommended!

Great soundstage, great imagery, and excellent midrange! I have been enjoying these speakers connected to a Reisong A10, using Roon, on a Rendu streamer.

Ogni volta rimango sempre più stupito dalla qualità sonora di questi altoparlanti: un suono caldo e allo stesso tempo definito, che non affatica mai l’ascolto, nemmeno dopo diverse ore. Certo, non stiamo parlando di diffusori da migliaia di euro, ma per la loro fascia di prezzo non sfigurano affatto nel confronto.

He integrado los Dali Oberon 3 en mi salón de unos 20 m², alimentados por un amplificador Yamaha R-N803D, y la experiencia es sencillamente sublime. Tras probar varios sistemas, puedo decir que esta combinación ha transformado mi forma de escuchar música. Sonido y Rendimiento: Lo primero que destaca de los Oberon 3 es su presencia. Al ser notablemente más grandes que sus hermanos menores (los Oberon 1), el driver de 7 pulgadas mueve el aire con una autoridad increíble. Escena Sonora: Gracias a su tweeter de cúpula blanda ultraligero, la dispersión es muy amplia. No hace falta estar sentado en el "punto dulce" exacto para disfrutar de una imagen estéreo definida. Graves con cuerpo: En un comedor de 20 m², los graves son profundos y muy musicales. Tienen ese "punch" necesario para géneros con pegada, pero mantienen la delicadeza para el jazz o la música clásica. Sinergia con Yamaha: El R-N803D les saca un partido espectacular. La limpieza del amplificador Yamaha combinada con la calidez característica de los conos de fibra de madera de Dali crea un sonido detallado, pero nunca analítico en exceso o frío. Diseño y Ubicación: Estéticamente son preciosos y se nota la calidad de construcción danesa. Aunque son altavoces de estantería, tienen la escala sonora de una columna pequeña. Para una estancia de tamaño medio como la mía, son más que suficientes; llenan el espacio sin esfuerzo y sin necesidad de añadir un subwoofer. Veredicto: Si buscas dar el salto a la verdadera alta fidelidad sin complicarte con sistemas de mil piezas, los Dali Oberon 3 son una apuesta segura. Ofrecen un sonido maduro, dinámico y muy refinado. Valen cada euro que cuestan.

Utilisées dans une petite pièce de 15m2 avec une soupente ,le son est incroyable. Très important,essayer d'éloigner au maximum vos enceintes du mur avant,sinon vos basses seront trop lourdes et moins bien définies. Les basses sont géniales si la bonne distance est respectée (je conseil si possible une distance variant de 50cm a plus de 1 mètre si cela est possible) Au début elles étaient a 50cm du mur,les basses étaient propres,puis j'ai changer ma configuration et laisser 1,50m d'espace entre les enceintes et le mur avant,tout était mieux sauf que j'ai perdu les basses(normal avec un tel éloignement),mais la scène sonore était mieux définie (la solution a été trouvée),j'en parle juste après),grâce a l'ajout d'un caisson de basse. Belle puissance et les finitions sont folles,on sent la qualité. Elles sont assez imposantes ,elle sont posées sur des pieds bien evidemment. Je les rôde avec le cd (magic cd),ce qui va accélérer le rôdage. La seule chose qui me dérange,c'est les médiums sur certaines voix féminines,je les trouve assez agressifs (j'ai 54 ans) sur certains enregistrements. J'ai résolu ce soucis en incluant un caisson de basse(xtz série cinéma),un monstre ce caisson,et cela a tout changer,les mediums sont devenus moins agressifs pour les oreilles,l'écoute est fabuleuse dorénavant. Pour le prix c'est incroyable Qu'est ce ca va être quand le rôdage sera terminé. Je conseil vivement l'ajout d'un caisson qui a tout changer pour ma part(c'est le jour et la nuit),même si je trouve les basses excellentes sans caisson(cela m'a impressionné au début de mes premières écoutes) Dernière chose ,elles sont brancher sur un wiim amp ultra et l'association est parfaite. Tidal,clef usb avec des flacs,et cd sont les principales fonctionnalités pour écouter ma musique. Je recommande fortement ces enceintes qui sont exceptionnelles.

This is a musical and very enjoyable speaker. Give them time to run in to sound really good (as with most speakers) as straight out of the box the timing of music was restrained but a few hours with music going through them sorted that out. There is resolution of detail, a good soundstage, great bass depth and an engaging sound that enjoys having the volume turned up. Dynamic and natural sound. Very much recommended. The only negative view here is regarding the vinyl wrap of the speaker (black ash) - it’s just okay, and looks fragile for a £500 speaker. If scratched or knocked I could imagine it will look tatty quite easily. Shame a real veneer couldn’t be used somehow... maybe I am expecting too much. Don’t let this dissuade you from a purchase though as overall they are solid and well made.

Sin ser un gran entendido en la materia, compré estos altavoces para montar un equipo Hifi, junto con el amplificador Yamaha A-s501, y estoy encantando. Sonido nítido y cálido, incluso con volumen alto. Escucho canciones, en las que aprecio detalles que antes no podía percibir. No son baratos pero en el mundo del audio, te puedes gastar lo quieras y más. Calidad/precio muy buena.
