Wireless Smart Alarm - Professional Alarm Installer Review
I was looking for a Reliable, Budget, Wireless Smart Alarm to offer to customers as my previous supplier had stop trading, I have installed many Wireless Alarm Systems including Visonic PowerMax/Master/Complete as well as Infinite Prime and LuxHome Systems. After installing the JC Wi-Fi Alarm with the Wireless Solar Bell Box I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the system (for a Budget Alarm),The Control Panel although reminding me of a Satnav is very simple to install and intuitive to programme and use, the Touch Control Screen is also responsive and well laid out. The built in RFID reader works fine and the built in 85db sounder is quite loud when compared to Hard Wired Alarm Systems. The SOS (panic button) on the side is a bonus. The only downsides I found with the system were:1. No Chime Function, although you can add another Door Contact and Set it to Door Bell on 24 Hr.2. No Rear Compartment for cable entry, the power cable plugs into the side of the unit and they supply a white 1m white micro USB lead which stands out like a sore thumb, I personally used a black right angle micro USB cable which looks much better. The Solar Bell Box is also very impressive for the price, I was a bit concerned by the solar aspect so I tested it by leaving it in sun for a couple of hours to let it fully charge then put it in a cupboard for a week with no light and tested it a couple of times each day, it worked fine every time so the a fully charged battery works for a least a week with no sun light which is great. The Solar Bell Box also has a couple of features that are not advertised (I think).1. When the System is Armed the Bell Box Beeps Twice and Strobes Twice, when the System is Disarmed the Bell Box Beeps Four Times and Strobes Four Times, the Beeps/Strobe can be turned off from the Panel if not wanted.2. If the Alarm Beep is left on the Bell Box will Flash the Strobe every 10 seconds or so when Armed which acts as a great visual deterrent.3. If the Beep is turned off it also turns off the Strobe for Arm/Disarm/Comfort Strobe.Personally 1 installed a 10-year Battery LED Flasher (2 x white LED) inside the Bell Box to act as a 24hr Comfort LED’s.Detectors – All the Detectors use a Hexadecimal code which have to be learned by the control panel, which virtually eliminates false alarms caused by other equipment on 433Mhz, i.e Wireless Door Bells, Garage Door Openers etc. which is great - I have used these before and never had a problem.Battery Life on the PIR’s can be extended to over a year by moving the Test Link to Normal inside the PIR after installation, there is also a Pulse Count Setting (How many times the Detector has the triggered before Alarm) of 2 and 3 as well as Hi and Low sensitivity so almost any environment can be catered for.Door Contact battery life should also be 1-2 years depending usage. When the Detector Batteries as getting low the Control Panel will alert you on screen as well as send a “Push Message” to your phone.Smart Phone App – “Smart Life, Smart Living” I have used before and covers a few different Smart Alarm Systems and is great, and gives you full control over the System, Arm/Disarm/Part Arm/Panic, it also has a comprehensive Event Log and even allows you to rename Detectors and change their use, as well as change other settings such as Entry/Exit Times and Bell Duration.Final thoughts – when installed and programed correctly, this Alarm offers a Professional Solution for your Security needs at fraction of the cost.

Really can't recommend this
UPDATE 10/07/2019:Support sorted me with a second unit very quickly. However, 2nd unit is now failing like the first one did. Same symptoms. All seems well then all of a sudden a black screen and no response from the unit. This time I unplugged everything and just left it overnight. When I came down in the morning I plugged everything back in again and now lo and behold it's back again, working as it should. This is not acceptable and I simply cannot recommend this product. If it isn't reliable then sod's law dictates that the date it does a black screen is the date you really need it!Maybe firmware will sort it. Oh, and Alexa integration simply isn't ready yet, despite what the description says.... :(UPDATE 15/04/2019:The unit has now failed. Black screen, dead as a doorpost. I've contacted support to see if they really are as good as other reviews have suggested! Knocked a star off in the meantime.ORIGINAL REVIEWThis is the updated version of JCHENGs popular Alarm system offering here on Amazon.Firstly the good bits:It comes with everything you need to get started. Wired Sounder (that is extremely loud!) 3 door/window sensors and a PIR sensor. It also comes with 2 RFID fobs and 2 remote controls to activate and deactivate the alarm system.JCHENG's youtube channel is quite helpful, but there are no videos relating to this new equipment at the moment and they really do need to put some up because there is no manual of note that gives you the information you need to set it up.As a former IT Consultant I found things fairly easy to work out. I was able to create zones and assign what I wanted each sensor to do. For example, for the front door I wanted an entry/exit delay to give time for legitimate disabling of the system. For the back door and windows, conservatory PIR etc, I wanted them to immediately sound if tripped. This was fairly straightforward. One thing to mention on this is that I found I had to add/delete and re-add 2 sensors because they behaved erratically first time around. In other words if like me you find that you have paired a sensor but it doesn't seem to trip the alarm system when tested, simply delete that sensor and re-add it and it will be OK second time around! The associated mobile app is quite good but not brilliant. You will need it to connect the system to your WIFI. I used SoftAP as I found that way found my 2.4Ghz network just fine. Within the mobile app I find that the notifications are bit bothersome. More configuration options would have been nice for notifications. For example, it would be nice to be able to limit the types of notification you want to receive, rather than receiving EVERY ALERT the system is recording!I have not yet found out how to add the Alexa functionality. There is ZERO information available to help in this regard but I'm guessing that there is an Alexa "Skill" associated with the Easy Security mobile app. That's where I'm going to begin my search! When I find out I'll update this review to reflect my findings. All in all, it looks good and should do all I need it do to. The price is excellent for this level of kit. I believe the support from JCHENG is exemplary although I've not yet used that facility.Hope this helpsTino

Simple to set up and amazing value for money.
After installing a wired alarm many years ago, I was dreading replacing it because of how long it took so went for this wireless system.Really easy to install and register all the sensors with the alarm box. Just followed the videos via the YouTube links provided with the alarm instructions. The optional app that can used to control the alarm (on WiFi or mobile data - phone running app doesn't need to be connected to the same WiFi as the alarm except during initial setup) also sets up the WiFi connection to the alarm really easily without even having to enter the password.I've added a PAYG sim card as well so that I receive notifications from the alarm even if my WiFi is down. The app let's me know if any windows and doors (and exactly which ones after naming the sensors locations in the app) are open when I arm the alarm by sending me notifications immediately - a really useful feature.Overall, really impressed with how well the alarm, sensors and app work together and think it is excellent value for money. I've added internal and external siren, additional PIRs and tremor sensors - all available separately - and all working just fine.
