Wheelchair Headrest

This fits a regular transport chair and holds my brother's head up nicely. He is in the later stages of Alzheimer's and cannot sit well, nor hold up his head. But this is so helpful to keep him up and around us. It attaches nicely and easily to his wheelchair. The only reason I say it is not as sturdy as it seems to want to untighten sometimes and leave marks on his chair as it rolls around the handles. I don't like that. Otherwise, it is a great device.

Mom has been very happy that she no longer gets a stiff neck watching TV from her wheelchair with this device. Very easy to install.

Metal clamps that hold the headrest in place broke off. Poor quality. Didn’t even last more than a few months.

We were extremely happy to find this headrest for our folding wheelchair. I had no problems installing and adjusting the headrest. I was afraid because of the style of wheelchair, I would not be able to find a headrest that would work. Having this headrest was a game changer. Because my wife is an invalid, she cannot sit up without total support for her back, neck, and head. She only weighs 76 pounds, so there’s not much pressure against the wheelchair back and head rest. During our walk this afternoon, the right side broke. As you can see in my pictures, it broke right at the weld. I purchased this headrest in March 2025 and today is August 31, 2025. It only lasted 6 months! The store that sells this only has a 30 day guarantee. Very disappointing having this headrest unusable now. I cannot recommend this headrest because the quality is poor.

I bought this headrest to attach to my manual wheelchair for places where my heavy electric wheelchair cannot go. It supports my head during bouts of paralysis from brain disorders. The quality was quite satisfactory. It is easy to put on and take off, as the chair cannot be filed for transport with it attached. It is definitely not what I need long-term, but it certainly is a big help in a pinch when I cannot bring my handicap van to transport my big chair or in places where the ramps will not support its over 500 pounds. So glad Amazon made it available.

My family member uses a wheelchair and probably needs a different type of chair because he has lost function but insurance won't cover it. As a result, I've been looking at aftermarket add-ons. The DME company that supplied the chair told us they don't make a headrest for his chair, so I started looking online and found this. It seems very well made and does exactly what we need it to. It was a little bit confusing as to how to put it on, but it is easy to install. Pay attention to the warnings about the style of your chair's handles because it is obviously this would not work if the attachment point is curved.

I tried to install this on a Drive Cruiser III. This product is made out of such thin, low quality metal that I think it would have broken immediately even if I were able to get it installed. It might have worked on a chair with longer handles, but the brackets would not fit properly on our chair. I could not orient the brackets in a way that would have allowed for leaning the headrest back, making the product useless. The threads on the screws didn't fit correctly and I sliced the skin on my fingers trying to get everything to go into place. It was a nice idea but in reality, this was total garbage.

I absolutely love this headrest - It's easy to attach, easy to remove, easy to adjust, and fits perfectly on my 18 inch wheelchair. I have dyskenetic cerebral palsy and when I go into spasms my neck will often get thrown backwards. This headrest has given me peace of mind, knowing that if I go into a spasm while sitting in my wheelchair on my own, the headrest will stop me from snapping my neck. It's a lifesaver and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Bought this for my dad who can now sleep in his chair comfortably without his head falling backwards. Installation was easy no tools needed.

Easy to attach or remove should you choose to, within a day of having it on the chair my mom was saying how nice it was to have it on. That's good enough for me if she is happy I'm happy. Others in the Nursing home, including the nurses all commented on it and how great it is. I would highly reccomend
