Jensen Speaker, Black, 10” (10-40FA-16)

Installed this in my Fender 65 Princeton Reverb Reissue. A vast improvement over the stock speaker. Crisp and clear highs, with a tight low end. No more bass flub!

After much research I decided for this 10" for my Marshall Reverb 12 (5205). I am really happy with the choice. The stock speaker was old and a bit to wimpy to really bring out the ferocity in the amp. The Jensen does the trick. The Falcon brings the Gain to a roar without producing any kind of shrill or harshness. lt never feels overpowered.My only negative is minor and cosmetic. Every other speaker I have ever installed has the connectors on the top (Celestion, Eminence, and WGS). This allows you to install the speaker "correct side" up, so you can see and read the label from the back of the amp.. Some speakers have really nice labels! Well the Jensen goes in upside down. And while it does not affect the sound, it does distract aesthetically. Something to keep in mind for open back cabs and amps.

I bought this speaker to replace the stock "Black Shadow" in my Mesa Boogie Express combo. The aim was to make the amp a bit quieter for practise and small gigs, while retaining the tone and qualities of the tube amp.I'm delighted with this product. Sensitivity of 96dB makes it not screamingly loud, and the 16 Ohm rating causes further attenuation of the amp's output. And the tone is great - warm but very clear, perfect for blues, rock, funk and jazz.Great value and a perfect mod for a 10" combo or cab.

I wasn't impressed, honestly. It sounds okay, but not great. I used it to replace the stock Chromeback speaker in my VHT Special 6, and after playing on the Jet Falcon for a few days, I decided to put the Chromeback back in. The stock speaker has clearer highs and more bass response, and is just plain a more musical sounding speaker.Seeing everybody else's incredibly positive reviews about this speaker, I don't think it's a bad one, I just think the Chromeback is exceptional.

Excelente calidad de construccion, hecha en Italia, agranda el sonido de los combos con bocina de 10 pulgadas, atenua la sensacion de pequeñez de estos pequeños combos, bocina con medios firmes, graves esponjados, agudos definidos y complejos. La que compre sustituyo a una bocina celestion en un combo a bulbos.
