I have to mention the Closet Maid Organizer is designed for closets 5-to-8 feet, the closet I was installing it in is less than 5 feet, so it took longer to install it. Instead of a couple of hours, it took me about five or six hours, which is no fault of the product, and I new it would probably take me longer because of the extra measuring and fitting and cutting. Other than that the organizer is an excellent product, it increased the capacity of the closet by about four times the usable space it had before. And despite the fact it took longer to install it was still very easy. Over all the Closet Maid Organizer is a great bargain, I plan to purchase another one for my son's room. What a fantastic shelving unit!! Works great!! Easy install. I'm not sure why some reviewers are surprised that it may need cutting. It says it right in the description, "All hardware and installation template included. Some shelf cutting may be required to fit closet space" Read the description first before you give a product a negative review...... TIP FOR FUTURE BUYERS: If you need to cut the shelving, the easiest way to do it is with bolt cutters. The kind of bolt cutters used to cut off old rusty padlocks and wire fencing. After your done cutting you take the rubber white caps off the original ends and put them on to the fresh cuts so it looks like it was never modified. It literally takes 2 or 3 minutes. If you don't have bolt cutters which I doubt many people do, use a circular saw. Yes, a circular saw with a steel cutting blade on it. Ferrous metal cutting blades can be found here on Amazon or at your local home improvement store. Using a hacksaw will take endlessly long. I had both these tools handy so it wasnt a big deal for me. Hope this helps out some future buyers.

I like this. It was pretty difficult to assemble I don’t think anyone would be able to do it alone unless they’re super handy. I had to get my bfs dad to do it (he’s a handyman). My closet was the exact measurements for the smallest it could fit but it didn’t fit. He was able to make some adjustments to make it work. All in all it’s not bad. It does the job, pretty sturdy and helps me organize my closet a lot.

I made the mistake of ordering this as a "Used-Like New" item. After I spent an hour pulling everything out of my closet, I opened the box to lay everything out and begin installing it. That's when I discovered that despite the "Inspected by Amazon" sticker, there were several things missing from the kit, including one of the 3 main shelves, a bunch of mounting brackets, and the instructions. I. Was. Pissed!! So I immediately printed a return label. But I still needed to do something about my closet, and fast. So I re-ordered it but as a brand new kit. When it arrived, I opened the box to take inventory, happy to see everything was there. Then, I set about reading the instructions a couple times, making sure I knew what I needed to do, had the tools I needed to do it, and that I could do it all by myself. My dad was a phone call away, but I wanted to do it on my own. And it came out exactly as I hoped. So I'm not sure why other reviewers complained that it was difficult, even impossible, to install. I even had to change the height spacing of one shelf to have enough room to hang long blouses. All I had to do was re-measure the bracket spacings on the wall and drill a small hole in one of the poles. No biggie. Now my closet is gorgeous! (Yes, I did paint the back wall a bright turquoise and stenciled in a small cluster of silver stars. Because I could.) My dad stopped by the next day, and took a look. He was impressed by how sturdy, level, and roomy it all turned out. In fact he said, "Don't let your mom see this, or I'm going to have to put one up in her closet next." So, if you need to overhaul your closet, I would suggest buying a new kit - NOT USED! - and make sure everything that's supposed to be in the box, is. If you can, take your closet doors off. Read and re-read the instructions, gather the necessary tools, and take your time. It's not rocket science. Oh, and yes, you can modify/customize this to have the double shelves on either the left or right side of your closet. Or even buy 2 kits and really go crazy. I added another shelf that I purchased separately, and still only used one of the poles, instead of two. It's just as sturdy and suits my needs better.

Better than the single wire shelve it replaced. BUT Closetmaid should clarify the installation instructions. The dimensions for the wall anchors are supplied for the 8 foot closet . Also you have to choose WHAT size to cut the 3 shelves for your closet size from the supplied 48" length. They neglect to specify what dimension the 2 support poles are to be? Other than there is supposed to be 1 1/2" overlap on each size of the 18" center shelf. As a mechanical designer I definitely could have composed better instructions, but...I shouldn't have to. My wife seemed satisfied with the additional storage it supplied.

El empaque llegó muy maltratado; aún así, el producto llegó completo. Fácil de instalar. Las medidas son justo lo que menciona.

Bueno. En materia es un poco frágil, se daña muy rápido el platico (lo que cubre el fierro). Lo instalamos y es muy práctico por los espacios que maneja.

Lo único que no me gusto del todo son los soportes verticales que estorban mucho, me gustaría que mejor trajera otro tipo de soporte

For the price you pay, it’s absolutely amazing. I love this system. Them with the spare parts you can install other shelf around the house. It’s just great. You can easily find parts online
