Majestic and enchanting. Caviar for the eyes. The black transparent is translucent more than transparent. Good flow after the warm up. The orange transparent is what it says. The thinner or sheerer portions look more apricot than orange. The blue looks much lighter in person on the spool and you would think it’s actually an opaque blue, but it melts transparent. Still not quite as deep as the pic but pretty close. I am still adjusting to the yellow. I’ve not perfected the ideal conditions yet. I’m still getting bubbles, but the color is a scrumptious lemon drop yellow. Consistent color. I just ran out of my transparent red and the tail end of the spool was just as beautiful as when I first got the spool years ago. Oh, the blue seemed brittle at first unpacking and initial handling, but after the first few feet, all was good. I accidentally ordered a duplicate spool, but I am going to keep it and am sure it will be consumed within weeks and not years or even months. It is absolutely beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. And I tried to watch reviews comparing brands, and so many creators didn’t amiss HATCHBOX as the OG, but I think overall, I have not found a brand gentler on my extruders. The bubbling, dipping, and stringing are more color, material, and condition dependent than brand. I started w HATCHBOX years ago, tried saving with other brands which ended costing more. I’m sticking with you HB. I THINK YOU can offer a frequent buyer offer. Send us a bonus spool with every eighth if you can afford to, we’d appreciate it. Love you HATCHBOX.

The best PLA filament I have worked with.
This is the best PLA I have ever worked with. I have not experienced any trouble with this filament at all aside from it selling out quickly and months before it restocks. When I can I snag as much of it as I financially can at the time it is in stock. This is because the filament is so easy to work with in my ELEGOO Neptune 3. After the print has finished and has cooled down off the build plate the supports snap off like they are perforated. This has been my experience with HATCHBOX PLA. The picture shown is of the Orange transparent, although in my opinion it is more of a translucent as the more layers needed it will get foggy and you cannot see through it. The shine is beautiful and gives it a flame effect more than just a dull flat orange. The chip off the effect I printed in her left hand is not broken, I clipped it down to match the actual effect size and decided I didn't like it, it is not broken I did that myself :). My only complaint is that it sells out too quickly. Great filament couldn't be happier with it. I hope more comes back in stock soon as I am anticipating trying out their Red Transparent filament. EDIT: 03/22/2024 I received more of this filament but what happened to it?! will be returning for a replacement and if the replacement looks like this, I will be done with HATCHBOX and looking for a new supplier for sure. EDIT: 03/24/2024 Replacement received and is accurate Thank you. That last one must have been from a bad batch.

Really cool when it works
Okay so I have to drop this review down to 1 star. I had it at as 3 stars primarily because I I really think the Clear PLA has an awesome look. Everything in the original review about brittleness is the main issue. But let's add price to the issue.I had been ordering HatchBox because everything I was reading online pointed to it being a quality filament at a reasonable price. So I was out of clear again. I like making models that I can light with an LED and the clear is just sooo cool. Amazon was out of the HatchBox so I changed up to TechOrbits Clear PLA. I didn't expect great results because it was $6 cheaper. With the Cheaper Techorbits I haven't had a single issue with the filament breaking and I've done a few 8+ hour prints with it so far. The Models come out beautiful and I'm getting much better board adhesion. The difference of having a print go 6 or 7 hours only to have the filament break and start again, well it's well worth spending the extra $6. But wait, it is the other way around!!! You can have prints that successfully print and spend $6 less!!!I'm done with HatchBox.Original review:So I am going to agree with several of the lower star reviews, this stuff is brittle as heck. When it doesn't crack in the middle of an 8 hour print when you aren't looking, the results are awesome. Unfortunately I've lost some prints well over halfway though from the brittleness.I'm giving it 3 stars because the results are Sooooo cool. Especially if you are using it for LED projects. Amazon is out, so I'm trying another brand rather than giving another roll a second chance. I'm wondering if there was a bad run from Hatchbox causing all the low reviews or if clear is just a bear to work with.

Great color, opacity and print quality
Very pleased with results so far, used well over half the spool so far.

good deal for the $$
worked as expected no issues.print your temp tower and string test and make sure you have proper Z-height on the first layer squish and it works fine.

looks cool, insanely brittle on the spool
prints smooth, wish the color was darker. about 4 minutes after a print finishes, as the print head is cooling down, the filament breaks right above where it feeds into the print head. nearly every time, which wastes 3-6 inches of filament after every printthe most brittle filament i have ever used by a mile. I have broken inches of filament off multiple times just trying to load it in the printer.

This filament is by far the better of the 'best' that I have used
This filament is by far the better of the 'best' that I have used. Temps set at 207 for best results if your printer can handle higher speeds. If not, 204 is better. This offsets the melt temp to time ratio...Well worth the price but would like to see specials on now and again. I have bought this Hatchbox material about 15 times and it never fails; reliable even in humid setting.

Great filament
Great filament at a good price. Never had a problem with these. I'm impatient to try some other colors and materials.
