Features on chair not necessarily as per pics
I'm not gonna take the chance on what features come on the chair and what don't.Two of the pictures show arms adjust up/down, one shows static. Thats a basic adjustment IMO. Also, no way to tell if the arms are fully adjustable or not. What else isn't as pictured? Per one of the reviews, a purchaser didn't get the left hand tilt limiter/seat angle adjustment as per the pics. So how are we to know what product we'll get? For ~$1500, you'd think it would be clear. And I've seen in the other version on Azon (diff back support) that if return, it costs like $450, and its on the buyer. The chair might be fine or it might not....

Sooo good! And fun for the whole family :)
I LOVE these chairs. Granted, I've been using a dining room chair at my desk for the past several years, so it was a low bar to beat, but that should not detract from the credibility of my review ;-) Seriously, these are super comfortable and easy to adjust. They are supportive and have some give in the seat and back, which I now know is a delightful feature. My daughter and her friends find tremendous joy in spinning them through our kitchen and dining room, which does result in my periodically playing hide and seek with my chairs , but the good news is they haven't marked up the wood floors (yet.) I wasn't excited about spending a bunch of money on office chairs, but honestly I don't think I'd buy anything else now. (Unfortunately for you, I'm sitting in one of these chairs now. If I was still in the dining chair, it would have been a much shorter review cause I would've had to get up to stretch already.)

No instructions or assembly guide
I will review the chair itself after I have sat in it long enough to have an opinion. This review covers the initial assembly:1) There are no instructions for this chair. You will have to guess at what the various levers and knobs do. Most of them are intuitive. But this is annoying. If I am going to pay this much for a chair, I expect the vendor not save a nickel on a few pieces of paper.2) There are no *assembly* instructions for this chair. That said, mine came mostly pre-assembled, and it was not hard to figure out where the four screws went to attach the back to the seat. But again, maybe let's not try to save a nickel.3) Do make sure the thing has not come apart in transit. Mine had one of the five casters come loose, which I did not notice until I sat in it, thought it seemed weirdly rickety for something this high quality... and then almost rolled the chair over backwards when I leaned back. (With all five casters it is-- surprise-- much more stable.)

Well designed expensive chair, beware of scratches/early smell
For a $1000+ investment for an office chair, you expect the very best. Herman Miller Aeron was somewhat of a disappointment because the pre-assembled unit was delivered with very noticeable scratches and scuff marks on its back. The porous back was also smelly as delivered.... like that of someone's sweat. I pondered on whether to return the chair for which I paid the full price, or would it be better to avoid the return and re-ship, the back and forth fuel burning and thus help the planet. I decided to keep it but after cleaning and sanitizing all of the Aeron chair (I am taking one star off for Herman Miller's quality control and their delivery experience). The smell is now gone. I rubbed off the scratches with an artist's scrub pad. It feels like new again. The design is good. It feels good to sit in it. It reclines well. Good lumbar support. Moves with my body as I look at various screens on my large workspace. In it, I can focus on my work. It is comfortable enough that I do not remember it after sitting in it. The day comes. The day goes. The Aeron chair silently does what it is supposed to. That is the way it should be.

Best chair money can buy
i don't think there is a more classic and timeless design than this chair. Great for posture, ventilation, and customization. Can last for decades.Expensive and can be found for cheaper when used so one star down on value, but if you can afford it i'm not sure there's really a better option out there for the long term.

Buyer beware: product in photo may not match description
I bought this chair and while it is indeed an original brand new-in-box Aeron chair, it does NOT match the photo. The photo shows the tilt lock and adjustment features on the left hand side of the chair. These are NOT included on the chair I ordered. If you, however, unravel the product code AER1B21HWAJG1G1G1BBBK23103 from the Herman Miller price guide you will find that the chair delivered does indeed comply with the features in the product code.So anyway, buyer beware, you're not getting the chair in the photo, but possibly a more basic model.

Nice chair.
At first I doubt if its quality match its product description. And it seems that the price of this type of Aeron chair is lower than Herman Miller official store. After the chair arrives, I think it worths its price. No noticeable scratches (maybe tiny) and bad smell on my chair. It has adjustable lumbar support and adjustable arms. Same with product picture.Everything looks good right now.
