Darice 9”x12” Artist’s Tracing Paper, 100 Sheets – Translucent Tracing Paper for Pencil, Marker and Ink, Lightweight, Medium Surface (97490-3)

I bought Darice 9”x12” Artist’s Tracing Paper on a recommendation from a YouTube video I was watching about learning to do calligraphy style hand lettering. The video stated that you could preserve your brush markers by not practicing with them on regular paper, but instead, using them on tracing paper. The paper has worked exactly like I hoped it would. I can lay my practice sheet underneath and write on the tracing paper instead of the copy paper that damages my markers. I've noticed that my brush markers aren't being worn down as quickly. I'm extremely pleased with this since the markers are expensive and I'd like to keep them as nice as possible for as long as possible. The quality of the paper is excellence but it is easy to see thru when placed over something to trace. I will definitely buy this product again when I use up the pad.

When Darice said they were releasing a 9x12 inch version of their infamous tracing paper, I must admit, I was slightly skeptical. I've heard of the standard 8.5x11 inch tracing paper, but I didn't think anybody would have the guts to go 9x12. Seeing as this product could likely malfunction due to the extra .5x1 inch, I was hesitant. Finally one frosty night, I decided to go for it. There's no glory where there's no risk. Anxious, I stood outside waiting for my Darice Tracing Paper to arrive. Obviously, I got this shipped to my location in a hurry. I had countless items to trace that I simply could not fathom with the standard size paper. I quickly learned that I underestimated the length of 2 day shipping and returned indoors after 3 hours. Waiting for this paper threw me into a depression of sorts. My life was out of control. I couldn't remember how I made it through daily tasks before I knew of the Darice 9x12 inch Tracing Paper. I burned my clothes. Hour 4: I was growing ansy, covered in a cold sweat. I wanted to trace a picture of a whale I printed online several years ago. I couldn't do so without the tracing paper. I began to drink. Hour 9: I was overcome by a series of what I believe were either hallucinations or demonic possession. In this period of time, I believe that I may've eaten a pound of raw ground beef. My life was spiraling out of control. I began listening to Elton John. Hour 15: I attempted to sleep. This was impossible. Things I needed to trace immediately kept running through my head. I would sit up with a jolt and realize that I didn't have any 9x12 tracing paper to do the job. Both outraged and depressed, I threw myself down onto my bed into a series of heaving sobs. I lost all control of bodily functions and soiled myself repeatedly throughout the coming hours. Hour 29: By this time I had already chewed off all of my fingernails and toenails, though not simultaneously. I called my mother and told her that I would be gone for a while. She asked of my whereabouts to which I responded "You're no mother of mine!" I made the assumption that she knew of this 9x12 tracing paper far before I did, yet she was keeping this from me. To this day, I do not remain in contact with her, due to this assumed fact. I recalled the days growing up that she would get me the standard sized tracing paper, and I got angry. Even my own mother was keeping this secret from me. I grew vigilant. Hour 38: I set the coffee shop down the street on fire whilst wearing nothing but a pillowcase. I was attempting to recreate a scene in the Harry Potter books where Dobby the House Elf prevents Harry Potter from returning to Hogwarts. Though, instead of stopping Harry Potter from returning to Hogwarts, I simply set the coffee shop on fire. Was Harry Potter in there? It remains questionable. Hour 45: I retreated outside my house once more, anticipating the arrival of my package. I paced back and forth. I screamed obscenities at my neighbors. I ate a turkey sandwich. I figured a good way to pass time would be to play a game. So, away I played, rock-paper-scissors. I won every time. I think I may've cheated, but I lost every time, too. The seconds churned slowly into minutes, and the minutes hours. WHEN WAS THIS PAPER GOING TO ARRIVE?! Hour 49: Precisely an hour late, my package arrived. The postman promptly ran away at the site of me. I didn't care. I ran inside and tore into the packaging. I was ready to trace. For the first time I saw the Darice 9 inch by 12 inch Tracing Paper in person. I cried with joy and began tracing every thing I could. I cannot tell you how many hours I lay awake tracing every thing I could. I became delusional, once more, and began tracing objects that simply were not there. I fell asleep. I awoke and discovered all the art pieces I created and was overjoyed. I could not have done any of this on standard sized paper. Oh the joy that overcame me that day could never be matched again. For this reason, I highly recommend this product. It's not the standard size, hence, it's better. Like everything.

Great product! I was leary because I would be getting 100 9" x 12" sheets instead of 50 8.5" x 11" sheets...for about the same money. But these are high-quality, smooth sheets and do the job! I LOVE this tracing paper!

I give this a 4 star because the transparency is not that strong. Great if you are tracing areas with little detail. I am attaching pictures for you to see better. The price is very affordable for the amount and size of sheets you get. The quality in general is good. The wrinkling of the pages because of the binding is not that bad. I hope this helps.

Since I love to do art/Bible journaling and have not developed the gift for drawing, this is my new best friend! I use this tracing paper pretty regularly now and have come to find that it will be a staple for me. It is very easy to use. Light enough that I do not struggle to see the objects/images I am tracing and, if done lightly, it is forgiving enough to allow for a good amount of erasing. Trust me on this one...I have had to erase a lot. The pad comes with 100 pages which will last me a good while. I am super pleased with this paper!!

Good quality tracing paper isn't easy to find anymore. This product is excellent.

It’s paper. Works just fine. But why on earth mail it in a bubble mailer? My mailman folded it in half to fit in my mail box! There’s no warning in the mailer ‘do not bend’ for the amount of money I paid.. to get creased paper which is used for art makes No Sense!

Super happy with my purchase. The paper is great quality, the brush pens I use don't leak through the paper or cause any tears. It's super easy to tear each page out at the seam to lay over whatever sheet I'm tracing. The package arrived on time and in great condition.

I definitely needed various translucent papers. This one is perfect for sketching and drawing. Great product great price. I recommend it!

Does the job

Siempre había usado el papel transparente que traen los blocks de dibujo, pero este es el primero 100% de este tipo que compro y me parece genial, se puede usar como portapapeles y la hoja que usas de guía no se mueve para nada... Me gustó :)

Es como cualquier otra hoja calca, pero la calidad es muy buena y con la transparencia necesaria. La uso para practicar mi lettering y no me ha defraudado.
