Thermos Nissan Intak Hydration Water Bottle with Meter, Blue

In 2009 I bought 2 of these bottles. They've worked great from day one! It's now 2023 and they are both still working perfectly! I can't say enough positive things about how durable and long lasting this is. They're both still like new. The top cover which is clear has yellowed a bit but it's been in use a long long time and I smoke so it's to be expected. But the blue and pink colors are exactly like they were the day they arrived 14 yrs ago! I highly recommend these bottles! They're not insulated so they do get a bit wet on the outside if you put ice or a icy cold drink in it. I love how it has measurements on the side so you know how much you're drinking and on the lid there is a dial to keep track of how many times you've filled it in the course of the day so you know how many times you've filled it. I really love these! The seal keeps your drink from spilling and it even locks so if you toss it in your bag you don't need to worry about it leaking.

This is probably the 5th Thermos Intak bottle we've bought. This is both a good and bad thing. We keep buying it because it's the best and easiest water bottle we've used. It's large (24 ounces), fits in cup-holders, and you can open and close it with one hand thanks to the very cool cap. The only reason we keep buying more, is cause we keep breaking the caps. It's pretty sturdy overall, but sometimes, we just drop it at the wrong angle, and the cap breaks in one of two ways, the latch comes off, or a piece of the button breaks so it doesn't hold the cap down. The body of the bottle is slightly curved and tall with grip notches and measurements on the bottle in ounces and liters. The size is great and it fits well in almost every cup holder, and even bike water bottle cages. The real beauty of the bottle is the cap. Starting from the bottom of the cap is a ring that you can twist to keep track of how many bottles of water you drank. It goes up to six. I have no idea who could drink six of these bottles every day. Maybe you can just use it to keep score at a soccer game or something. The clear lid of the cap is held on with a latch connected to the grey button and is reinforced with a metal piece that hooks over a lip on the lid. To open the bottle, just flip the metal piece down and push the button and the cap flips off. The cap has a rubber piece on the underside that seals to the mouth of the bottle to prevent any leaking or spills while the bottle is closed. On the back is a loop you can carry the bottle with. If you have a carabiner you can hook it on to your bag. The bottles come in a bunch of different colors, it's BPA Free, and is dishwasher safe. I love this water bottle, I really do. As much as one can love a mug or cup, I love this water bottle. The mouthpiece is a good size for gulping or sipping. The leak proof top is solid and sturdy and has NEVER leaked for me once. Nice grip and feel in hand when using. Like the water meter dial but hardly use but can see the usefulness in it, rather have it there than not. The top when the lid is taken off, is perfect for various sized ice cubes; meaning the square ones or the oblique or whatever you call the other shaped ice cubes, lol. Very, very easy to clean and dishwasher safe I do believe. ***Please note, I do not use this for hot liquids. I only use for water specifically. I think I've used this for soda or juice a few times but nothing hot. I had to buy another one only b.c the locking mechanism that snaps down into the clicker had broken off when I had dropped the bottle on hard flooring when I was juggling my laptop bag and other things out my way through the door for work. I didn't know I could have ordered a new top from Thermos until after I bought a new one on Amazon, oh well Cest le Vie. When I bought this bottle, I also bought their newer updated version of it, the Thermos Tritan Hydration Water Bottle. I'll see which one I like best over the next upcoming weeks. I think it'll be hard to improve on something that's close to perfect already but we'll see, maybe they did. :)

Great overall bottle especially for the price. Only thing I'd add is a spring to the lid. Design Feels great even in one hand, easy to hold near the bottom where it gets more oval. Gripping makes it feel like it won't slip even when the bottle is a bit wet. Having the measurement on the side is a nice touch as well. Lid Great spout design, you can chug from it freely but it's not so wide as to feel uncomfortable. The button to open works well, and comes with a simple wire lock. Pulling the lid back locks it in place so it doesn't flop into your face while drinking, which is a great feature. My only compliant would be that I'd like to see a spring on the lid so that it flips back automatically with the button. As is you need to push the lid back which means you need two hands to get the lid open... not the end of the world though. For the price, this is a GREAT bottle. Can't go wrong with it.

Surprisingly great product from a reliable brand. Good design that doesn't accumulate any gunk and also pretty handy to have the locking mechanism.
