Borderline fabulous.
Wonderful, almost fabulous! The black chrome finish is a bit blotchy but is only visible at certain angles as can be seen in the accompanying pictures - visible, then also, not visible at most angles of observation. That's sometimes the way it is with black chrome, though. Not pictured, I applied a coat of paste wax while in the act of composing this review. It did subdue the blotchiness to at least a discernible degree.I don't mind it much at this price.I prefer black over silver for my old, tired eyes.I'm thrilled to have a 12" fractional 1/32", 1/64" and decimal 1/10", 1/100" ruler. Why I never thought to buy one before is beyond my comprehension.I've used the 6" pocket General #616 for maybe 50 years and never considered the advantages of having a longer ruler so divided.Maybe I never really needed one until now, which I do.This particular style ruler has the best method of staggering the length of the graduations, and also the placement of the numerals is staggered in height for the most ease in reading. That is a treasured feature that many ruler manufacturers are trending away from these days.It really does make a difference when dealing in the smaller graduations."Other manufacturers, pay attention to the consumer, please. Thank you."I have other PEC products that I've been happy with as well.1/32", 1/64", and 1/10", 1/100" graduations beat millimeters and 1/2 millimeters all the way to Hades and back.Metric rulers are systemically not capable of being subdivided into graduations that can be as easily seen as can U.S. customary units, simply because of the advantages of being capable of more fractionalization than the 2 or 5 divisions that metric is confined to exhibiting.U.S. customary units also provide a finer degree of meaningful, readable subdivisions than metric is capable of providing.Let's educate the rest of the world as to the benefits of U.S. customary units. They can use them also.It doesn't cost anyone anything to share in the best methods of measurement. It pays!

Very accurate
It is accurate and well marked. I purchased 2 different 1 foot rulers so I can measure decimal and fractions with metric. They are squared well and meet my needs but side by side one is they don’t match. One is a little taller - benefits- I can tell them apart and rely on measures with them butted together. Negative- i need to get used to it

Finish poor
I guess again I learn you get what you pay for ACcuracy is god. Usability is ok. With the stain on the ruler it’s a little hard to read. Tried to get it off with various cleaners and solvents and it helped some. Not my favorite ruler. I’m going back to to Starrett.
