Simple tips for you to choose the right force of gas piston Please measure the weight of your cabinet door first and then see the loading capability as blow. 60N=6kg, 80N=8kg, 100N=10kg, 120N=12kg, 150N=15kg, 200N=20kg, 250N=25kg (The load bearing capacity double when using 2 gas pistons. E.g. 2 pieces of 100N = 20kg) Gas force with 150N, 200N, and 250N are very strong. Please choose the right force before you purchase our items. Or too strong gas force may affect your hinge function and cabinet close. Product Features >This lid support can be used for toy box, cabinet door, trunk, piano frame, container, bed etc. >Soft closing system offers an automatic opening effect as you lift, and locks in place when stopped >These gas struts pistons are the best way to operate your overhead cabinets allowing you the best access into the cabinet Product Details >LOOTICH Automatic Closing Lid Stay >Spring Force Model: 120 N (12kgf) (27lbf) >Dimension: 260 x 15 x 15 mm >Opening angles: 75, 90 or 110 degree (according to the installing position) >Installation: Clip-mounting on pre-mounted screw fixing brackets, no tools required >Application: Suitable for wooden and aluminium frame doors (choice of brackets supplied) >Material: Steel >Finish: (Body: Polished chrome plated; Brackets: Nickel plated) >Colour: Silver colour painted Package Contents >Cabinet gas struts: Pack of 4 >Each lid stay with 3 different brackets, installation instructions, and mounting screws Important Note The Sample Measurements Table (in the photo) applies to ONE gas-filled lid stay. The load bearing capacity double when using 2 gas-filled lid stays. It is recommended to use 2 gas filled lid stays for parallel and synchronized opening action of large lids

Work great...but some installation issues
This is the third set of hydraulic struts for these cabinets, including OEM. Previous sets fatigued after a few years each (it's been 13 years since the initial installation by Lowes). Lowes replaced the OEM struts, but told me that the cabinet manufacturer was now using a different type of hinge. However, they were able to acquire a replacement identical to the OEM struts. And like the OEM, the replacements also fatigued. Perhaps the 3rd time is the charm...time will tell.I took a shot in the dark with these, as I wasn't sure how strong a strut I should buy. But I went with the weakest (60N), because the doors they are intended to open don't weight very much. They are perfect, although while the old struts opened the doors 90 degrees, the new ones open them 110 degrees. At least that gives me some leeway if and when these struts start to fatigue also. The reason for 4 stars, versus 5, is the installation. I'd hoped to use the brackets that came with the old struts, but the ball joints on them were too large for the sockets on the new struts. I just installed the new brackets using the same holes as the old ones. This is where it gets tricky. The instructions for the new struts show that installation is simply a push and click operation. There appeared to be a spring within the socket that served the purpose of locking the socket onto the ball. However, it became apparent that "push and click" was not going to work no matter hard I pushed. It turns out that what I initially thought were springs actually were cotter pins, which you need to REMOVE BEFORE you install the struts on the brackets. Then you need to reinsert the pins in the holes and clip them into the circumferential groove around the base of the socket. This procedure can be found nowhere in the instructions supplied with the struts. Furthermore, half of the pins must be installed on the backsides of the sockets, which can be difficult. A flashlight would be useful...and an extra pair of hands.Once installed, however, they work like a champ. I simply lift the top-hinged door about 1/3 of the way, and the struts softly lift the door the rest of the way. The 60N was exactly what I needed for this application, although if you're lifting larger/heavier doors, you may need to upgrade to 80N or more. My doors are 30"W x 15"H.

Budget Price, Sturdy Struts
The instructions are lacking. I'm guessing that there is a language barrier or poor translation. They are budget struts, so you must expect cut corners somewhere; however, the build quality seems good, especially for being budget. I'm hoping that the cut came from translating the instructions. What the instructions seem to have left out is that the retaining pin needs to be removed when fitting it over the ball joint. It is easily removed and it's easy to put back in once on the ball joint. I was trying to brute force it on at first since that's what the instructions indicated.I have only used one for a shelf/cabinet combo that I built of solid wood. It was also a gift, so I'm not sure what kind of use it is getting. I would hope if it failed, I'd be informed.I'd definitely recommend it.

Brackets bend
These provide plenty of power, the only problem is the brackets with the posts can’t handle it. The posts bent on the brackets immediately after being under pressure. 2 on a 28”x16” door of 1/2” plywood picks up and closes with minimal pressure even from the long length. Would be great if the hardware was strong enough.

Work well

Best customer service!
Great struts and even better customer service! Had a issue with one strut and was reimbursed for the one so I didn't have to uninstall all of them for a refund or replacement. I am purchasing more and would recommend this product!

Brackets bend under force of the pistons.
Bought 150N struts. Instructions are completely wrong. Also, the paper instructions and the instructions printed on the bag are different. Both of which are wrong...Most importantly, the little brackets that the pistons attach to are too weak. They bend from the force of the pistons. These are useless unless you buy your own brackets separately.

Cheap hardware.
Pistons worked great.... However the ball joints on the brackets didnt fit and where a huge hassel to get on. Also the bracket/hinges are extremely cheap and instantly bent under the force of the piston.

Thin brackets
The 200N pistons require so much force to actuate that the brackets bend before the piston moves.

They didn’t last!
Don’t know if I had a duff pack of 4 but after 1 month they have given up and stopped holding the lids of my bins open. Nowhere near too heavy according to what other reviewers have used them for, had fitted all four even though to begin with that seemed excessive for the small weight but here we are! Will go and buy some from the high street to replace them, not taking a chance on ordering online, have learnt a valuable lesson!

Perfect for kitchen
These were just what we needed to get our rather heavy kitchen cupboard doors behaving themselves. Easy to install, and worked like a charm

Ball Bracket not strong enough
The struts themselves seem very good quality but the ball fixing bracket thingy is not strong enough for the 200n version at least. It is bending and breaking already.I made contact with the company who did reply quickly but didnt really make sense... hahah....

Macht was es soll, einfache Montage.
