Britney Spears Live from Las Vegas

If you never saw Britney Spears in concert or ever took her seriously, you need to buy this DVD. This concert is so fantastic. After watching this, I understand why she was and to some degree still is a great entertainer. I know that she lip syncs but I can't imagine singing and dancing as hard as she does at the same time. Actually, I really didn't care about her lip syncing, because she is an incredible dancer and really fun to watch. BTW, I am over 50 and had no experience watching her or did not listen to her music. I saw parts of this concert on youtube and was so blown away that I bought this dvd. Let me just say that watching it on youtube and watching it on your own TV are two different things. The in home experience is amazing. She is a great entertainer and this concert is the reason she had and still has a huge following.

Britney has a world wide reputation as an established icon of the Pop Music industry. I personally believe that among professionals that today hold that view, it was this disk that made it impossible to ever believe anything else. The show is a classic example of everything coming together on the night, Britney is obviously at the peak of her professionalism and is completely unafraid to share it with her audience. Thoroughly recommended as the central show for anyone who wants to know, Who is the real Britney? Warm Regards, Burn ( Black Sun.....Metaltrance ).

In my opinion - having seen many broadway shows growing up in NY and watching the various stars and divas throughout the years - THERE IS NOBODY LIKE BRITNEY SPEARS. She is a virtuoso in what she does. People who think she's a wiggle and a pretty face simply have no eyes to see. She creates a persona in body language with such a confidence and command, a daring and a talent that is simply incomparable. The DVD is great for most of the songs, altho i think more cameras would have benefitted the presentation. She is very powerful in "Stronger" and "Overprotected" and her work in general just reinforces what is evident: There is nobody who gives a more entertaining and talented performance in the world today in this genre. I think she intimidates alot of people, not the least of whom are her critics.

The DVD of the Dream Within a Dream tour is so visually beautiful to watch even my family members who aren't Britney Spears fans were watching it. I admit, some of the song redentions were a bit hokey though. At the time, this was Britney's most well produced tour. Beautiful costumes, great dance routines in which Britney puts her heart and soul into, cool special effects, and just great overall energy. At one point, she even takes a break to address the audience and what she says comes from the heart and really shows her sweet personality. This DVD is also family friendly and doesn't contain any of the adults themes that were included in subsequent concert tours.

I did like this tour but in all honestly liked her Until the World Ends Tour better. Maybe because she has matured as a singer and performing by that tour. This tour was OK but was really bored at certain parts. For example, I like John Voight, think hes a good actor. Most kids may know him as Angelina Jolies dad, but no one wanted to sit through him reading a story to I believe, Britneys younger sister, on stage. It just seemed weird and awkward. I didnt view him as a grandpa type figure to be honest. Plus for it being Las Vegas, I was just disappointed. Her song set up at the time was limited due to not having as many albums being made yet and it just seemed like she was just a kid trying on different outfits and hoped that itbworked. I prefer the mature Britney tour afterwards.

Britney always has known how to put on a concert. That is one thing that she will always be known for, is her amazing concerts. She doesn't she stand up on stage and sing, she is the definition of putting on a show. If you looked up "show" in the dictionary you'd see Britney's picture. Every concert from this one to The Onyx Hotel, to The Circus, have all be amazing and people can't resist Britney's charm and stage presence. If you are a true Britney fan you know what I'm talking about.

I didn’t realize it wasn’t in widescreen before it was too late. I should’ve read the fine line better I suppose. I do know that the original concert was shot in widescreen tho! This concert is one of my all time faves of hers.

Acheté en 2004, j’adore ce concert et je suis ravie de pouvoir le (re)visionner en DVD ! Du grand Britney Spears, vraiment. Que vous soyez fan ou non, cela reste selon moi l’une des meilleures périodes pour elle et sa carrière.

Das einzig Negative an der DVD vorweg: Zwischen Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know und Anticipating gibt es einen kleinen Hänger, ist aber nicht weiter erwähnenswert. Womöglich ist das auch nur bei mir so. Die DVD selbst besteht aus zwei Teilen: Zum einen das Live-Konzert in Las Vegas, von welchem man die Stücke auch einzeln anwählen kann, zum anderen ist dort ein Film-Trailer zu Not A Girl - Crossraods vorhanden, ebenso wie die Musikvideos zu I'm A Slave 4 U, Overprotected und I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman. Im Optionsmenü kann man verschiedensprachige Untertitel der Songs wählen oder die Option abschalten. Der Sound ist wählbar zwischen Stereo und Dolby 5.1. Insgesamt bietet die DVD eine superoptimale Bild- und Tonqualität. Der Hauptteil, nämlich das Konzert selbst, ist großartig gelungen - und zwar in allen Belangen: Bühnenshow, Gesang und Tanz. Umziehpausen Britneys wurden durch Showeinlagen der Backgroundtänzer/innen sowie durch Zwischenstücke der Band optimal überbrückt. Pyrotechnische Leckerbissen und digitale Videoeinblendungen sowie das Theme (Dream Within A Dream) gefallen mir sehr gut. Auch der Zwischenpart um die Songs Born To Make You Happy, Lucky und Sometimes hat gepasst, ebenso wie die Auswahl Reihenfolge der Songs. Sogar Brits kleine Schwester ist zu sehen. Die Performances von Brit sowie den Tänzern sind unübertrefflich gut. Britney gibt in ihren Performances alles und versucht das Publikum mitzureißen. Ihre meist knappen und engen Kostüme tun ihr Übriges. Brits Gesang tat sich besonders in Balladen hervor, während sie bei "härteren" Songs mit ihrer perfekt inszenierten Bühnenshow glänzen konnte. Ich hatte das Glück, am 19. Dezember 2000 in Dortmund dabei sein zu dürfen, als sie auf Deutschland-Tournee war und ich muss sagen, dass mich diese DVD nun noch mehr überzeugt hat, bei ihrer nächsten Tour mindestens zwei Konzerte zu besuchen.
