Solid, quality fan
I've had this fan for a couple months now and I'm very pleased with it. I didn't want to just get a cheap plastic fan (I've had plenty of those). So I spent a little more money and so far am happy I did. Hopefully this fan will last a few years, making it a solid investment. It is all metal, with metal blades. This fan does have the capacity to be mounted on the wall, but I have not done that so I can't review that aspect of the product. I just have my fan on the floor and that's good enough for me. I have a room in my home that was not getting cool enough this summer. The central A/C vent in that room blows out cool air, but it's just not enough to accommodate the size of the room. So I purchased this fan to see if it would help. I placed the fan on the opposite end of the room from where the A/C vent is, so that the fan is blowing toward the A/C vent. It works wonderfully. This is a powerful fan and has tremendous velocity at the lowest setting (it has low-med-high settings). I usually just run it on low and it keeps my room cool. There were a few days when it was hotter and more humid outside, and the room just wasn't getting cool enough for me, so I turned the fan up on high and that did the trick. Because this is a heavy-duty, high-velocity fan, I suppose it is a bit loud even on the lowest setting. But I'm one of those people who likes the sound of a fan so it's hard for me to comment on this aspect. It is noticeably louder if you increase the setting. I suppose some people might think that the high setting sounds a bit like a jet engine. But again, I'm just trying to be as objective as I can since the noise this fan produces doesn't bother me one bit, even on high. For me, the sound of this fan is very relaxing. In its defense, it is a very smooth sound. There is no annoying rattling or vibrating or anything like that - those type of noises DO bother me. This is just a nice, smooth fan sound that happens to be loud because it is pushing the air so forcefully. Some people might find this helpful if they want to block out outside noises, particularly if they work at night and have to try to sleep during the day. If you are one of those people, this is an excellent fan to serve your purpose. There are rubber feet on the bottom which help prevent vibration-type noise, and also helps keep the fan from sliding around - although it is so solid that it probably wouldn't slide anyway, except possibly on the highest setting. This fan is quite a bit heavier than a plastic fan, but I see that as a good thing. That's what I wanted - a solid, sturdy fan as opposed to a lightweight, flimsy plastic thing. You don't have to worry about accidentally tipping it over. I recommend this this product. It is MUCH more powerful than a cheap, plastic fan. Very solid, all-metal construction. High velocity pushes much more air and does a much better job of cooling a room.

WOW, WOW, and WOW!
UPDATE!!! Its been 3 years and this thing is still going strong. Quality fan that delivers. UPDATE AGAIN: After 3 1/2 yrs of use I thought the motor was giving out as the blades were slowly turning, squeking noise, and sometimes would not turn at all. Guess what? The fan is still working great I just had to do a little cleaning maintenance, behind the blades where the motor housing is, in between the motor housing and the blades I found string and hair wrapped around the bolt. I removed all of that stuff with a tweezer but still found myself with the blades turning slowly. Finally I add some rust resistance spray in between the motor housing and the blade, the fan is working as good as new. WOW, WOW, and WOW! I read previous reviews that made me decide to get this one; oh man this fan is unbelievable. I accidentally flipped it to speed 3 when I went to turn it on for the first time my cat jumped half across the room and my papers started flying everywhere like I was in a windstorm; this fan literally sounds like a jet engine on speed 3 probably the reason why my cat jumped half across the room besides the powerful wind release. Yes its loud but it doesn't bother me as I can always wear my wireless headphones if I need to watch my movies plus the sound would probably put me right to sleep. I have had numerous fans before (over 10) but I have never come across a fan as powerful as this one. Even on the lowest speed it blows out more wind then any of my previous fans. Unlike the plastic models that break this design is metal and it is built to withstand the powerful wind in which it does not shake. Once again I cant believe a fan like this can put out so much wind. If you are looking for a fan that can disperse incredible wind and noise is not an issue for you then this fan is for you. Thanks to all the ones who reviewed this product before me as it really helped me decide to purchase this one. UPDATE: I purchased this in March it is now almost December, still blowing strong. Some days I wish it had 1 more lower level selection because it does give out a lot of wind even on the lowest selection . UPDATE: 2 YEAR AND 5 MONTHS of use and still going strong. Most days this fan has been on for an average of 16 hours. TIP: Make sure to clean this every once and a while. Make sure to unplug it, remove the cover and clean the fan blades, the back of the fan grill and front. Dust collects on this and by cleaning it, it will make a world of difference on the wind output.

This fan is a BEAST!
Bought two of these back in 2017 (one in March, the other in May) One I rarely use but it still runs when needed. The other has been running nearly NON-STOP ever since. Like literally I just keep it on 24/7 with very few exceptions. (I live in FL so the handful of days of winter-ish weather (a.k.a. when it gets below 60 degrees Fahrenheit lol) is the only time when I bother to turn it off. Even then I miss the noise (these are industrial and not very quiet but I actually love that). But yeah, these suckers are just STILL kicking. I will say that the plastic doohickey that keeps the control on did break on one of mine but not on the other - that bit is a wee bit fragile it seems, but to me, since it doesn't impact the fan's actual ability to do what it needs to do, it wasn't worth deducting a star. This thing blows so much air that I can't really even aim it right at me most of the time - I actually aim this up at the ceiling and the cycling air movement cools me off w/o practically blowing me away LOL. These are magnificent air-movers. I also do use it in conjunction with a window a/c that doesn't have good air reach because the window is in the far corner of the room, and this keeps my room nice and icy everywhere instead of only where the a/c unit can blow. Definitely a worthy investment!

Excellent Fan 24x7x365 for 5 and 1/2 years never had an Issue
Bought this to circulate air throughout my home. This unit ran 24 hrs a day,7 days a week for 5 and 1/2 years without an issue. (Note our first one by Lasko ran 6 years no issue, same unit) On low it is very quiet. Up on high you will hear it. It moves a lot of air and keep the house air circulating reducing electric and heating bills while ensuring no cold or hot spots. Simple maintenance: wipe down the outside cage as needed. Unplug remove the outside cage and wipe down the blades every two to three months. - Value: Ran a long time for the money - Durability is Solid: 5 plus years running all the time - Silver and Black not the prettiest things but easy to clean looks ok and works well I recommend and will be buying my third one. The family loves this fan. Does Not have a remote control

Lasko Fan 2265QM The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Review
I am Very particular and research most items before purchasing, that being said i researched alot of fans before i purchased this one. The intended purpose is garage use to circulate air in our 20x20 Florida garage when i am out there working. I have an existing outlet to plug a fan into on the front and the right and left wall and wanted a fan that i could position anywhere in the garage based on where i needed the air flow. The exact fan i purchased was the Lasko 2265QM fan silver in color. The Good.....Fan arrived in two days and was not damaged during shipment . Fan was easy to assemble as most of it was together but the center tube of the stand and the switch mounted to the tube. very minimal assembly with no tools needed. The finish in silver was consistant with no scratches or flaws and paint was overall in excellent shape. Out of the box everything looked ok. The Bad...... A couple of things became apparent during unpacking during the light assembly, the Biggest negative being the rubber grommets to hold the fan in the tilt position did not keep the fan held in place and the motor placement caused the fan to tilt upright some rather than stay in a vertical position. The switch housing made out of plastic could have been more robust and durable. The knob mounting bolt is threaded into a metal bushing and you do not want to over tighten the knob for fear the plastic housing will break. The fan control seemed a bit lightweight as well and an after thought is although it is very convenient to have the speed control on the front it may not be the best position for long term durability. perhaps the speed control on the back side motor housing would be more durable. The cord is three prong and heavy duty and would have been better at 10 ft in length. the cage that surrounds the aluminum blades is metal and is well build for protecting the blades over the cheap plastic shrouds you see on other fans. The Ugly ... the first thing out of the box i had to correct was the fan not staying in a vertical position. The bolt on each side is a 5/16 carriage bolt with a shoulder and does not turn as you tighten the Nylok 5/16" nut which is good. However the rubber bushing does not keep the fan positioned even with the nut tightened all the way in till it hits the shoulder and can not be tightened any further. The fix is to take the nut off the bolt and shim it with a fiber washer ,metal washer, or additional lock washers so that when the nut get's tightened there is sufficient friction to hold the fan in place. Both sides were altered with shims to address the loose condition, however in doing so one bolt fell out and the fan cage had to be taken off to position the bolt back into the fan shroud. the swinging clips-all 8 or so were very difficult to open to release the front half of the shroud and there is a small screw in the lower part of the shroud that has to be removed to split the shroud. Once a 5/16 fiber washer, flat washer, and external lock washer was added to each bolt the loose fan positioning was corrected. may be a future issue down the road. more compression on the rubber grommet will probably break down faster and cause the grommet to crack and fail. The switch was mounted with the one single knob with screw and tightened snug only and not over tightened, cracking the switch that is wired midpoint on the fan wires would not be an easy fix! The short cord was remedied already because i had bought a 10 ft medium heavy extension cord for our shop vac when i vacuum out the car. Fan Noise...........my school of thought.... less air movement equals quieter fan, less air movement means fan closer to where your working. Being this is a fan for a 20 by 20 garage i was less concerned with the noise and more concerned with the air being moved and if the fan made too much noise i could position it a bit further away from where i am working. Reported cfm for this fan is 3160 cfm on low, 3320 cfm on medium, and 3460 on high speed. My garage is small and when the car is inside i have approx 8' by 19' space on one side, of which the grill, lawnmower , pressure washer, tool boxes, charging station . and two cabinets take up 2/3 of the area. my work bench is a 3' square of 1/2" plywood modified so it sits on top of our open square plastic garbage can. This fan sits on top of the lid on our recycling plastic square can and the balance of the fan even on high is well enough it will not vibrate and fall off. Others have mentioned the cyclic type noise on low speed and i did not find that to be a problem or objectionable in my case. yes the back of the fan motor is plastic and seems rather chincy for a fan that is advertised as industrial! Took me a few hours on online research on google, Youtube, as well as forum reviews to find out that every fan or product made has it's strengths and weaknesses and after all my scouring the internet decided to go with the Lasko brand and the fan that had the most ratings or purchases. this is the same fan as the black in color 20" Lasko fan item 2264qm other than color. switches could have slight differances as well. If i was looking for a quieter fan for a different in house situation this would not be the fan of first choice.

I've used this fan daily for 5 years and it's the love of my life
I was recently talking to a friend who is in the market for a fan, she asked my opinion since I am borderline obsessed with mine, which spurred me to go back and write this review years later. I ordered this fan 5 years ago and have had it running on high non-stop (aside from vacations away from home) in my bedroom on a small table. I love it more than anything in my life lol The white/brown noise is perfect for me, so when I sleep away from home, I attempt to replicate it with audio of Spotify, but nothing compares. As for airflow, it has three speeds and I have mine perpetually running on high, which continuously keeps air fresh and moving throughout my room/back of the house. I've had zero mechanical issues with this fan in the past 5 years (knock on wood). It's easy to clean by taking a wet rag to the front of it or holding a shop vac up to the back of it (I have multiple dogs, so it collects dander as expected, but never enough to interfere with it working properly). This fan is a workhorse, incredibly well made- sturdy without being heavy or cumbersome to move or tilt. I can't recommend this fan more highly!

Category 3 hurricane wind speeds
I got this for my fiancé who can’t sleep without a heavy duty fan We had bought a $50 one from Walmart same brand plastic fan And he DESPISED it I heard about it every night before bed how that was the worst purchase of his life lol! I got this one and oh my goodness I can’t step out of the bathroom without feeling like I’m stepping into a category 3 maybe even higher hurricane 😂 he is a human heater so he LOVES it but I’m a cold blooded human and it’s getting cold out so I’m freezing No complaints tho he’s happy so I’m happy I’m glad to have made this purchase 10 out of 10! It’s barely more noises than the other fan but a million times more powerful it give a nice peaceful almost relaxing sound Heavy duty very durable ! Decent size but not too huge ! Not very heavy either but sturdy!!! :) Obviously airflow is amazing 🤩 And functions better than I could’ve ever dreamed 😅

OH .... IT"S AWESOME
You here the noise and you CERTAINLY FEEEEEEELLLLLLLLL the wind......this thing moves A TON of air. it comes with a wall mounting bracket so after having it on my bedroom floor for a while i mounted it inline with my bed on the wall facing me as i sleep.....oh this thing is incredible, had it for several months now. I've used this thing for A/C during this past hot summer when we've had guests over to help get the A/C down my long hallway, used it outside, used it with our tiki torches when we'd have our cousins over in the summer and it was crazy hot, got the string tiki soot stuff all over the blades, case, motor, so after a while of that i took off the front cover, very easy, just move the series of pivot clips over and the one little machine screw on the bottom, cleaned it off....all that crap that got all over it and in the motor all those months ago....did absolutely nothing to it, just as fast, just as powerful, just as awesome. the cord that has is probably a 5ft. maybe a 6ft cord, it could be a foot longer i think, but then again i don't think people typically would be using this thing for as much stuff as i do. One time it rained and i forgot to put my soft top up on my jeep and yeah it was very bad, 1999 jeep wrangler sahara got about 2in of water in the front before i woke up and realized it was rainy, somebody told me it wasn't supposed to the night before so i didn't worry, so i got out drove my jeep and parked her under the carport vaccumed up as water as was possible with our shop vac, which was A LOT btw, and lifted up all the carpeting and arranged the seats so that i could put this fan in the little trunk area of the jeep and just ran that fan outside there to help dry out my jeep for over 24hours straight through, no stopping, and my jeep eventually dried up, no damage done to it so far, that was a couple months ago, no rust, my aftermarket radio works fine, all electronics and switches work fine, steering fine, seats fine, no mold anywhere, had i not told anyone, no one ever would've have known the inside of my jeep got wet, this fan did, does, and seems that it will do a VERY good job for a VERY long time!!!! great great fan...
