Powerful little vacuum. Sharks Rocket is a little beast.
I have lots of vacuums. I have cordless sticks, traditional sweepers and the robot vacuums that run when I'm not around. I have two dogs, so I feel like I need to clean the floors constantly. I found that the cordless sweepers are convenient, but not very powerful. I wanted a light vacuum with strong suction and I knew that a battery wouldn't work...that's why I got the corded version. Wow. It's so powerful. It really picks up the dirt and I am very happy with how well it cleans my carpets. The cord is long enough that I can move around easily. It's not very noisy and I really enjoy it. It was super easy to put together and although I saw some negative reviews about storage, I haven't had any issues with just leaning it up against a wall. It was a great buy and I am very happy with the quality.

Lightweight, durable, great suction, and easy to use. Excellent purchase.
I bought this in August and waited until October to do an informative review. I own a cleaning business and use this daily. It’s so lightweight and easy to maneuver. I had an expensive Dyson, but the Dyson was so cumbersome to carry (an heavier) and such a chore just to use the attachment. This vacuum is so easy to use. The suction began to waver, but I replaced the filters, and it was like new again. This vacuum is best I’ve ever had tbh. I’ve had the super expensive ones, but was never completely satisfied as I am with this one. I’ve recommended this one to others and sent the link to buy bc I love it so much. I’m so glad I got this. It’s made life and my job so much easier. I love the perfect lines it makes in the carpet, as well. (I love to leave the carpet fluffy.) It’s easy to empty and takes all of about five seconds to dump. It vacuums bare floors just as efficiently as the carpet. You can use just the top part for the couch and throw pillows or a long tube for higher up areas like cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling or hard top reach areas like under the couch or under the bed. I saw in the reviews that the cords was too short, but the cord is pretty long and doesn’t bother me at all. When the filters aren’t clogged, the suction is incredible and doesn’t miss a thing. For a large house, you might need to do a dump midway through if the floors are especially filthy, but usually it just needs to be dumped at the end of the project, which takes all of five seconds. It’s a great value for the price. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I love this vacuum!
I've used my Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Vacuum 5 or 6 times over the past 3 months. -- This vacuum does everything and has great suction. It is simple to switch from off to bare floor to carpet with the button on the handle. The dirt bin has a push button release so I position it over my trash can, push the release button, and wa-lah, it's empty. No dirt and dust spilling everywhere. The dirt bin is nice and big. I vacuum my entire house where my two long haired cats and I live and only clean the dirt after the entire house is vacuumed. The vacuum head pivots, getting in all of the hard to reach places, and has great suction. I love that it's light because I'm 57 and want to vacuum my second story stairs easily..this does it. The cord is long so I can clean my entire main floor of 800 SQ ft and only unplug/replug once. Highly recommend!

Don't buy a cordless stick vacuum — buy this instead!
I purchased this Shark Rocket corded stick vacuum after purchasing a cordless vacuum from another brand — and this was the best decision I could have made. The issue with cordless stick vacuums are that the batteries simply just never last long enough. The battery on cordless vacuums typically drain faster, which means you go to through more battery cycles and therefore the faster the battery would need to be replaced. This is not the case with this Shark stick vacuum — because the unit is corded. While you trade off some of the convenience and ease of mobility you get with cordless models, despite the cord, this unit is still light enough to easily get around a home. The Shark corded stick vacuum is powerful enough to suck up whatever mess you throw at it and the HEPA filtration ensures that the air is kept as clean as possible. Once your done vacuuming, with just one press, the dust container opens up to toss the dust away. To store the device, simply mount the vacuum head to the base and the unit can sit upright and stored virtually anywhere. I almost forgot — Shark Rocket comes with some other handy tools such as the crevice tool, the upholstery tool, and the dusting brush. I personally used the crevice tool to get into those hard to reach areas and the dusting brush to clean window blinds. Both worked great in my use. Now here are the downsides. While the Shark Rocket stick vacuum is lighter compared to other traditional vacuums, the actual head unit is top heavy, meaning you can't prop the unit to stand upright if you want to take a break. Additionally pushing the unit will require a little bit more strength to push around since the top part weighs more than the base. Furthermore, while this vacuum worked great on hardwood and tiles, it did not work the best on low pile carpet and rugs, despite advertised as working on these types of material. Don't get me wrong, it will clean your basic low pile rugs but if you intend to use this vacuum on medium to high pile carpet, you're going to be let down. My last gripe is, that with all the tools that this unit comes with, it does not come with a wall mount to place everything on. All in all, if you're looking for a lightweight vacuum to clean hardwood, tiled flooring and occasionally some low pile rugs, this is the best vacuum for the job — without having to deal with the battery woes of cordless models. However, if you expect this vacuum to clean various level of medium to high pile carpet, your best off looking elsewhere.

Great Vacuum
Love this vacuum. It is lightweight, maneuverable and powerful. Great for our hardwood floors and rugs. It picks up dog hair really well and easy to use on stairs. I have another model Shark vacuum that I use upstairs. Love their products.

Great Vacuum!
I have tried many stick vacuums over the past two years, most of which have died or encountered problems. I haven’t had this one very long, but I can tell that it’s better made than those and it’s Performance was outstanding. I would highly recommend this vacuum. The cord was exceptionally long. It is easy to empty and the vacuum head is very easy to maneuver and has great suction.

I really like it !
I got this when it was on sale for $109.99 I purchased it for my workplace to do a few rooms of low pile office carpet and a few vinyl backed low pile mats. I also have one small office with high pile carpet . It’s fantastic for low pile carpets . It removes sand and dirt well. It does equally well on the mats . It did good on the high pile carpet and left nice grooves in the pile ( the occupant of that high pile office likes and wants to see vacuum lines as proof I cleaned his room). I tried it in my pet filled home ( 6 cats ) before taking to the office! My home is 100 percent wood floors and tile . I really like this vacuum. I think it picks well ! It did great removing loose litter , dander and cat hair in my home. It does not blow the debris away it actually picks it up even on the edges and on the front edge too ! Things to keep in mind : * The head is small so you will have to go over areas a bit . * The pole length is not adjustable and I feel it’s quite long . I’m only 5’1 and I feel it’s too long ! While it’s light weight it’s not effortless to use . I think an upright is easier on the arms . * it’s top heavy and can’t stand up on its own . It does have rubber backing on motor /cup do when you lean it it doesn’t fall over too easily . It does require you to be cautious with where you stand it and I feel with kids or pets around you would need to be extra careful with placement . It has tipped over times , has not broken …yet . * The cord is OK length . I would have liked a few more feet . * Suction is very good ! The hose running from the head to the cup is smaller ! I would suggest picking up before vacuuming to ensure nothing large gets sucked up. The vacuum has washable filters , if you notice suction loss , wash the filters ( just a sink rinse and overnight out on counter dry Needed) * The vacuum is strong so the dust cup fills quickly . The cup is attached to the motor head so after taking it off the pole you must drag the whole head ( with cord ) to the trash bin … a bit annoying. * I store this in my locker at work , I just pop the head off and it goes into my small locker just fine . I really like this vacuum and I feel it would be great as an apartment vacuum . For a large home I feel the head is small and will require too much arm action to be useful!

Love it!
Love it! Lightweight and picks up good. Also stands against a wall. I love the fact that you don’t have to hold the power button. One setting for floors and one setting for carpet. Good suction. Plus it has a swivel head.
