Jeff Spoiled Me
While Volume 1 focused more on keyboard shortcuts & some foundations, Volume 2 heavily focuses on real-life examples which utilizes hands-free format.Although it is same VLookup & SUMIFs function that are being taught, the difference is how he manages to describe them.I've read many excel-related books but I either forgot them once I am done with the book, or the formulas seemed too complex for me to remember. But with easy-references and use of cell & table references of this book, I was able to memorize them easily and this saved a lot of hours off my work!Everyone at work thinks that I'm using Macro to custom-program my work, but little did they know that I'm merely using standard formulas in all my worksheet. Now when I try to learn from other excel books, it seems so-inefficient as the examples are rather complicated and thus hard to comprehend - I'm definitely spoiled with this books' teaching style!I only wish that more 'accounting' related formulas are present in volume 3. (NPV, PMT, etc)Can't wait for Vol.3 to come out!

Great Excel learning resource
I've read Excel University Volume 1 & 2 and they are the best Excel instruction I've seen for financial number crunchers. As a self proclaimed Excel "power-user" I was surprised about how much they taught me. These books are not "Excel for dummies" they're for professionals who are serious about becoming more efficient at their work. What I found especially helpful is that the author not only talks about Excel functionality, but gives practical examples of how to apply Excel features. As with any instructional book the content is only valuable if its teaching you something new. While I was already aware of some Excel features discussed in the book, there was more than enough "best practice" tips and advanced functionality I was unaware of to make it worth while the read. So in sum I'd recommended this book to anyone outside of the elite 1% of Excel users.

Hands Down One of the Best Reference Books for Excel
You could just go ahead and call this book 'How to for Dummies'. If you want to learn Excel, this is the way to go. Excellent tutorials, samples, and the videos are crystal clear. You won't regret this purchase.

Well Designed Courseware
I've developed Excel based tools since the mid-90's and am therefore very familiar with its capabilities. This course is a well laid out course that explains the concepts well and then helps the student to learn how to put the concepts into real world use. FWIW, I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about Excel.

Had higher expectations.
Very little great information.Takeaways - which any experienced accountant already knows -- vlookup is great but has limitations match and index functions are sometimes better alternatives- sumifs is the bomb especially within tables- force yourself to use your mouse as little as possible until shortcuts become 2nd nature- downloads should be put into a data table and all reports should feed off of the tableSave your $$ watch a couple youtube videos

The book itself is great. I wished volume1 was not defected
I ordered both volume 1 and volume 2 as a birthday gift set for my bf. However, volume 1 is defected. There is no point for me to keep volume 2 alone, so I decided to return volume 2 and purchase something else for him. The book itself is great. I wished volume1 was not defected.
