Beautiful and unique
The Biorb classic 15 is a great tank for my Betta. He’s loving all the space he has. The original tank he was in was glass and broke when I was cleaning it. When I read that this was a stronger plexiglass that was one of the reasons this was at the top of my list for a replacement. I read other comments about noise. This tank is pretty quite. There is a low hum from the filter system, but it’s hardly noticeable. Another comment about the bubble flow from the tube may be a little strong. My betta seems to be fine with. But our old tank had a waterfall and the flow was also higher. The tank came with a pound of ceramic substrate they are very unique. It’s a very natural rock form. It cover the bottom around the filtration tube. You can honestly get away with what they send you. I bought an extra bag just in case and used a little extra. I also used some pretty stones to bring out some colors. For this tank I decided to use real aquarium plants and aquatic silk plants plus a few marimo moss balls. It’s so pretty, and Vitorio my Betta is very happy. I also splurged a little a got the Biorb Seahorse sculpture. It’s beautifully made. It’s definitely worth the little extra you pay. Overall this rank is beautiful and unique.

Beautiful
I like this a lot. It is very attractive, easy to set up and I reasonably easy to take care of. I say "reasonably" because it is harder to maintain a small tank than a large one. But I feel like they make it pretty easy to take care of with the filter kits. I upgraded the light to the one with the remote. I have a beta fish in there and the other light seemed to bright for him. He was always hiding when I had the light on. Now that I can dim it he is always out and about. Also I like that bioOrb has a lot of tank decor, and good quality stuff.

MUCH nicer than most betta tanks out there
My little beta was just fine in his 2 gallon cube on my desk, but I really wanted something that looked nicer and was easier to clean. After tracking the price of this 4 gallon tank for probably a year, I finally caught it at a good sale price and ordered it. It takes up just about the same amount of room as the old, smaller tank did, though it is taller, but it looks much nicer and of course gives my little guy more room to explore. I already had a few BiOrb plant pieces, but I have since ordered the BiOrb Flower Garden decor set , and I'm excited to get it and see how that looks. If you're new to BiOrb tanks, switching from a filterless bowl/cube to this one, or haven't had an aquarium before, there are certainly some things you should know and/or buy: 1. The ceramic media substrate (rocks on the bottom) that come with this tank are only about half the amount you actually need to cover the bottom of the tank. Seriously, it doesn't even cover the filter, and it looks pretty bad. I bought an additional 2 Lb Bag Ceramic Media , and that does the trick. 2. While the filter will do its best to keep the tank clean, you'll still need to change out part of the water every so often. A manual cleaner pump will make this job really quick and easy, and while BiOrb does make one, a bunch of other companies make identical ones for cheaper. I grabbed the Sungrow Aquarium Gravel Cleaner Kit . 3. The included air pump creates waaaaaay too much water movement for a betta, though it's great for other fish that aren't as sedentary. I used a binder clip to clamp the tube down and decrease the air entering the tank. Also, the air pump can be a bit loud if it's allowed to rattle up against something or move around at all. Mine's sitting on the carpet, and it's completely silent that way.

beautiful globe aquarium
This 4 gallon globe (with its own air pump filter, special gravel, and a light) is remarkably attractive. I added two artificial plants about as tall as the filter tube; I also added several live plants, including some moss balls and a couple of taller plants. With the light on, it has decorative value from across the room even before you can see the fish. I consider this perfect for 1 betta, or you could have 2-3 guppies. It is much too small for goldfish or other larger fish. The betta makes full use of the entire tank and enjoys swimming the periphery. The first few times I turned the light on, he hid. After a few days, he figured out that the light means food, and now he comes out of his napping plant (he prefers the live ones which are softer) when the light goes on.

Very beautiful, but not practical
While this is the most gorgeous tank I have ever owned (I painted the top and bottom, it doesn't come this way), it is sort of a pain in functionality. The opening is very small, which makes it difficult to maneuver. My hand barely fits, making removing items difficult. Because the aerator goes right through the middle and is very strong, I have to shut of the pump or blood worms are pushed to the outside edge and cling to the aquarium wall by the super strong current, making it impossible for my fish to feed. The pumps feet are useless, the vibration prevents it from staying put and it bounces all over flat surfaces and it is very noisy. Dedpote the crazy strong current, the filtration is not as good as other small tanks I have had in the past. Also the light is very dim and not white. If you are willing to deal with all the hassle, just for a pretty tank, I suggest buying it. Edit: Our betta lasted only two weeks in this tank, developed both ick, then dropsy. After reading that many others had the same issue, I am revising my 3 stars to 1 star. Save yourself the expensive lesson learned and pass on this tank.

Abit overpriced I would say for what it is. Only a small plastic tank and was £75 but it’s got the colour changing lights and the filtration and it looks lovely so didn’t hesitate to keep it. Lovely little tank. The only other thing I would say is the ornaments made by the same company are again pretty but abit over priced for what they are

My Nephew was thrilled with this for his birthday and could add fish after just 2 days. I did buy the rocks separately but they were included (I should have read the contents more clearly!)

I love my new BiOrb, nearly as much as my fish love it.
