I was considering buying a new imac desktop. However, I have windows laptop that works really well. I bought a new 27 inch monitor, wireless keyboard & mouse (with usb receiver) and this docking station. This setup works fantastically well and I am very happy with this purchase. My laptop does not have USB C but does have USB 3.0 sockets. This works really well. Connects to the monitor (with sound) flawlessly using the HDMI socket on the docking station. Rock solid connection to the USB receiver for my keyboard / mouse and for my printer and scanner. (I had bought an amazon basics dock but had to return it because it was faulty and kept losing connection to my usb devices. This was bought as a replacement) Really pleased with this purchase. Easy to set up using the supplied CD rom. (I assume that you can download the drivers if you do not have a CD Rom drive) My only criticism is that the power cable is a bit short and the supplied USB cable is a bit short. My daughter is also able to use her laptop with this - just plug in the usb cable and she can use the printer, scanner, wireless keyboard and mouse with the monitor.

Worked very well and was well pleased. But a year and a half later it's dead. Maybe I expect too much? All I wanted was something that worked and lasted awhile (3-5 years, ie about as long as a PC/Mac).

Great for static use, but can become painful if you're using it as a dock but regularly need to leave. It would cause my system to freeze up ~1 in 8 times. (windows 10, Lenovo X260), not sure if this is only an issue on my end, but worth flagging. That being said in normal static use, it is perfect

I've had many, many Dell laptops with the customary universal connector underneath them that allow connection to my port replicator. Imagine my surprise when my new laptop arrived and didn't feature the connector. What was I going to do? Well, I explored the Dell website and saw why they'd removed the connector; they wanted to make another £200 by selling me a USB-C dock. I was pretty much resigned to this, but thought I'd Google around to see what others made of this decision. That's how I came across the Wavlink unit, and frankly it is perfect. On top of it's functionality it looks much better than the Dell option too. New laptops tend not to come with an optical drive so the supplied DVD-ROM was a bit of a waste, but I soon downloaded the software and was up and running with 3 monitors again within 5 minutes. As I say, it's perfect.

**!!Firstly the seller was great. Arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered it. Responsive to emails and refunded me the full amount, no questions asked, so 10/10!!** NOT so the product: The dock turned up minus the CD, which according to the packaging, should have been there. The promised 'Plug n Play' didn't happen. So, onto the website to be met by a bewildering array of drivers. If you search for this product, it will give you all the info you need about the dock in one place but not a link to the driver. After some trial and error, I tracked down the Windows 10 driver - there is more than one - and downloaded it...Nothing happened. Uninstalled. Downloaded. Nothing happened. Repeat x3 Eventually, after rooting around in the USB tree, I could see the driver for the dock was loaded and all up to date. However, there was no UI anywhere to be seen on the desktop and a search for Display Link in my Apps, came up blank. I can't interact, or access the dock. Display Link Support: So next, I emailed support. 3 days later I am still awaiting a response. I went onto DL Support Forums. 3 days later I am awaiting a response from a DL Forums Tech Support. Conclusion: I have ended up with a piece of plastic junk. That doesn't work and a manufacturer who is AWOL. DON'T buy this. Get another one from another manufacturer who know what they are doing. ONE MONTH LATER: The stand it clips to has now failed. Neither Display Link or Wavlink have been able to discover why the it refuses to work with my displays.

This would be a 4/5 star review if it wasn’t for the HDMI connection. I bought the item in Jan-21. The HDMI connection started to take a while to work after 12 months and now it doesn’t work at all. Connecting the laptop directly to my monitor is fine so it’s not the cable. I’d like to replace the item as it shouldn’t be faulty after this period of time but Amazon don’t provide that option.

This is priced at a huge discount vs brand-name OEMs yet delivers the same functionality & performance. I'm able to connect my external monitor via HDMI, 3.5mm audio, and a whole bunch of USB devices. A must-have for WFH setups. Instead of having to plug/unplug multiple wires from my work laptop to personal desktop and vice-versa, I can now simply so do via one USB cable thanks to this USB docking station.

This dock works well enough for me. I do wish it came with 2x HDMI outputs instead of the DVI + HDMI output as I couldn't get the DVI output working with either of my laptops. I have a Dell Precision 5510 running Linux Mint 19 and my work laptop is a System76 Oryx running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. This dock plugs into a USB 3.0 port on both of them. Ethernet, HDMI and all my USB stuff works fine on both laptops. I just wish they could charge through the USB port so I wouldn't have to keep the 2 power adapters available. Also, since I couldn't get the DVI port to work through a DVI to HDMI adapter into my HDMI monitor, I just plug the 2nd external monitor into the HDMI port on both laptops. I'm very happy with this dock for the price point. Yes, it still sucks to have to plug in 3 cables (power, USB, HDMI) when I dock either laptop, but this was the best bang for the buck laptop dock that was compatible across multiple laptop manufacturers.

You do have to install a driver, but it's easy and just works. I use it to run a pair of 22" monitor with no trouble at all. If you have a USB-C high-speed port, I'd suggest buying a short, purpose-built high-speed cable, as my unit came with a USB-A end and an adapter that looked unstable to me.

I have a great setup for my work from home desk - two displays, and my work laptop has its own docking station. I have a docking station for my personal laptop because I like to use the dual displays for homework, photography editing, etc. I had a docking station I'd been using for years, and the USB ports started to die (mouse would stop moving, which was VERY frustrating). I bought this docking station, it was delivered the next day, and I LOVE it. It's a great color (I got the turquoise), and it works so well. High-speed connection. I love it - great value for the cost!

Excellent, easy to use and setup. Tried another brand and Wavlink is so much better hands down. I was so surprise when I noticed you just need to plug everything in and thats it, with the exception of setting up the screen displays which is standard for any dual screen setup. Absolutely love it.
