HP - Scanjet 5590 Digital Flatbed Scanner, 2400 x 2400dpi, 50-Sheet

Hate it, Interface sucks and likes to change colors of everything I scan. Good for only black and white. Plus the feed jams.... found it usless.

I bought this printer in 2006. It is STILL going. I scan a LOT. I mean.... A LOT. I've scanned thousands of slides. Thousands of pictures. Thousands of documents in the 10 years this scanner been mine. I am going to cry when it breaks. I have never had one problem with it. HP software can be a pain if you upgrade your OS or whatever....but in the end, I get it working.I just purchased another one of these to have around for the day my 2006 purchase finally bites the dust. THIS IS THE BEST SCANNER EVER!!!!I probably shouldn't write this review because HP will make it junky so I have to buy a new one every couple of years.The features on this have really gotten used. THE Transparent materials adapter is fantastic...and I like that you can put a stack of pictures in there to feed thru. (I use the latter one less).

While an excellent price point, I could not find drivers and scanning software for Win 7. I had to send this back.

Total junk! After scanning only one page the system simply cut off.

I purchased two of these and they are perfect for desktop scanning in great color or B&W. This HP Scanner is a professional model and outperforms just about any multi-purpose scanner of any brand that I have used in the past 10 years. If you need a scanner to work with your PC or MAC to do quick scanning of receipts, documents, photos, negatives; just about anything that you need to convert to digital format....this is the scanner to buy. The vendor really does a great job of refurbishing and his pricing is tops!!

This HP unit, is a power scanner and just work. I have one at the office and one at the home office. If you need to scan a lot this is a great scanner.
