I was a little hesitant when ordering this because of some of the reviews that mentioned noises coming from the unit. So far the only thing I really hear is a soft humming/running noise. It's not too loud though that it's annoying or anything like that. I've accidentally left it on when I went to sleep and woke up sweating so it definitely heats up well. You have the option of using heat without flames, adjusting the heat between 750 * 1500 watts or just having the flames with no heat. What I don't like is when you turn the flames on, while it's pretty, there's extra light and glow that come through the bottom so it sort of lights up the wall like beams coming from the unit. Other than that I am satisfied with this purchase.UPDATE2 months later and it doesn't work anymore

Great size. Looks great. Only issue is attempting to "hide" the plug. Size of the plug makes hiding it and the cord difficult to cover up.

The fireplace was aesthetically pretty but it didn't put off much heat. It also wasn't compatible with the old wiring in my apartment and kept taking out the electricity when I turned it on.

I am glad I purchased this fireplace. I had it mounted in the bedroom under my flat screen tv and I love it!! The heater is a little loud but it works fine. I mostly just turn on the flame without the heat. I also like that you can change the background colors of the fireplace.

Have not yet installed but it is functioning and quite attractive. I am sure it will be beautiful when hanging on the wall.

LOVE IT! Very pretty. The real rocks are way better than the fake wood that is in many of these fireplaces. Puts out a decent amount of heat. Nice to have a remote. Wish it had a thermostat. I thought it did. Overall, excellent. Easy to put on the wall, too!

The glass part fell off right away, and a broken bulb can broken. the only way id be happy is if they give me my money back.

I put the white, pale brown pink , and a few clear stones behind the glass and they look amazing! At night the stones look like they are burning with a real nice glow. The fire looks pretty real! Great design! I have had many compliments!
