LEXIVON Butane Soldering Iron Multi-Purpose Kit | Cordless Self-Igniting Adjustable Flame 7-Tip Set | Pro Grade 125-Watt Equivalent (LX-770)

I bought this for my husband a year ago and it’s working great! This is one of those things that is super useful but also a something a man just loves. I don’t know if it’s more of a tool or a toy because he seems to enjoy using it so much! Heats up quickly, super versatile, great attachments for various tasks.

I increased my rating to five stars from one cuz of great customer service. After I emailed the manufacturer explaining my problem, they got back to me the next day. After answering a few questions and sending a photo of the serial number, they sent a whole new unit to me and a prepaid label to return the old one. The new one works as it's supposed to, so I upped my rating to five stars. The LX-770 is a really nice torch and soldering iron for a great price. It heats up quickly and burns for a long time on a charge. The kit includes a number of useful soldering and other tips too. One thing you should know that isn't on this Amazon page: the company says only 3X-refined and higher butane should be used, not just "premium" or "high quality" gas. (You can find up to 14X butane out there; I never knew there were different kinds.) But the impurities in regular butane will cause it to not work well and will damage the torch, the company warns, so buy the 3X or higher stuff. It's a bit more expensive, but not much. My original review: This torch had so many good reviews, I really expected to love it. And I did, for the first two days. I planned to use it mostly as a soldering iron, and for two small projects I tried it on, it was great. But then today I was using it to solder some resistors and wires to LEDs. And when I was using it, or when I set it down, it just would stay lit for a short time, and then go out. I could still hear the gas flowing, but there was no flame and it got cold. It would relight, but then the same thing. This happened over and over again, so it was not a fluke. I tried pushing the lock button as far as possible. But the only way I could use it was to keep and hold the safety lever down with my thumb. Which I am not going to do long term. (I am using high-quality 5X butane.) My only choice is to return it. Although I like the design, I am reluctant to buy another Lexivon because of this experience and will probably try another brand. So disappointing!

I have had two other butane soldering irons Weller's Pyropen jr. worked great the Pyropen not so much. This blows them away as far as value and performance. Lights the first time, heats fast and seems built well. The kit has all the tips you could use. Good case and items are securely held in place. A couple of minor items - no gage for fill level, had to cut foam to put iron back in place without removing tip. Still a five in my book at a cost that is great.

I have a mobile auto repair business so this is very handy when needed. It has a pretty fast heat up time, it's pretty light easy handling and is especially nice not having a power cord. One thing though is the butane fill port needs a special adapter to work with most butane fill bottles. I am still looking for an adapter that will fill without letting gas escape. I get enough in to make the tool work but it's still a bit of a pain. The case with all the different tips is really nice also.

I got so tired of trying to solder with a corded iron in weird spots around my desk setup so I finally grabbed this and it made such a difference. Heats up really fast, the flame is adjustable, and the included tips cover pretty much everything I've needed so far. The case keeps everything organized so I don't lose a tip when I'm digging around in my parts bin. Make sure you pick up some quality butane for it because cheap gas will cause issues, but once you have that sorted it performs really well.

Move over Snap-on tools, Lexivon has it right! The price of this kit gives me the freedom to buy more of their quality tools without waiting months to purchase another tool guilt free. Finally, I can buy the tools I need one after the other without breaking the bank. The soldering kit is in a well-built case that's perfectly shadow boxed for the torch and accessories. The instructions are clear and straightforward - no confusion, just smiles! They even offer an extended 2-year warranty with registration, which was super easy to do. After I registered my soldering kit, I checked out their website briefly. I was really impressed by how user-friendly it was. Whether you're looking through their products or trying to find your product's user manual, everything's right there and easy to find. I could tell right away after opening my shipping box that this company values their customers and wants to give them the best experience possible. Owning a business myself, I know that there is a lot of time and effort that goes into creating a website that's user friendly and I can only imagine the same goes with developing a product that hits all the marks your customers are hoping for. Lexivon nailed it! I honestly can't express how impressed I am by this product, especially considering the price I paid for it. Das LEXIVON Butan Lötkolben Kit hat mich absolut begeistert. Endlich ein kabelloser Lötkolben, der genug Power hat und super flexibel einsetzbar ist. Durch die selbstzündende Flamme ist er sofort einsatzbereit, und mit den verschiedenen Aufsätzen (7 Stück) kann man wirklich viele Arbeiten abdecken – vom klassischen Löten bis hin zu kleinen Heißluft-Anwendungen. Die Hitzeentwicklung ist beeindruckend: bis zu 1300 °C als Flamme und bis 600 °C mit den Lötspitzen. Das reicht für jede gängige Reparatur. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass man keine Steckdose braucht, sondern einfach mit Butan auffüllt. Die Verarbeitung wirkt stabil und hochwertig, das Set kommt gut sortiert in einer Box. Für mich ein perfektes Werkzeug für unterwegs und zuhause.

はんだのみならず、付属のアタッチメントを変えればエンボスヒーターにもなり非常に幅広く対応出来ます。 バーナー自体の火力もかなり強いため、アタッチメントを取り外して火力を最大にすれば、少し時間はかかりますが炭への着火も可能です。 ガスも100均で売っているライターガスボンベで充填可能なので、手軽に利用できます。 一度のガス充填でどのくらい使えるかわかりませんが、火力最小でのはんだ付けならばガスは無くなりませんでした。 最大火力で炭に火をつける作業を約7回ほど行ってもガスは残っているようなので燃費は良さそうです。 しかしながらガスの残量を見る窓が無いため、予備のガスボンベを用意しておいた方が良いかもしれません。 これくらいの作業ではんだごて出すの面倒だなって思う人にはぴったりの商品だと思います。

Product worked well with good ergonomics and convenience as an automotive technician needing to work in tight spaces, stopped igniting properly after roughly 2 years, I emailed there support not expecting much but got a quick well written email with some testing information, and after that didn't work they are shipping another one free of charge. I would highly recommend this product and the customer service was excellent when I had a problem. 10/10 experience and product
