Black Lagoon: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

This is seriously one of the top 10 best animes to ever exist in my opinion. 10/10

Great TV series, and good blu-ray product as well. The case art insert is reversible with an alternate cover art of Revy in her daisy dukes lol. Well worth it if you love the show!

If you like enriching yourself with great anime don’t mind the action in it …welcome to Black Lagoon, I admire the character development the story why &how things are …you won’t regret buying complete series …details, styles of each individual of this anime is amazing!! If they made this into a live action movie I would be blown away…just don’t be surprised if you won’t sale or let someone else barrow the movie because you value it 👍🏽

I've watch a lot of anime out of which only 3 i really want to own and Black Lagoon is at the top. So when i saw amazon had the complete collection this includes Roberta's Blood Trail + digital copy i jumped on it. However the digital code cant be redeemed cause funimationdigitalcopy.com or funimation in general is no longer on the web the link sends u to crunchyroll streaming service that streams anime like black lagoon. its worth it anyway if you like the show. Update.... if the u don't care for the classics border the cover is reversible and in my opinion has a great picture of Revy. Amazon also sells Black Lagoon 1rst and 2nd barrage which includes a DVD copy for $100 its the same thing so if u don't care for standard DVD save some money get this one I paid $70

The idea of Black Lagoon is great. I had high hopes and honestly I wanted to like it more than I did and I expected it to be in my top 5 but it didn’t even make it in my top 10. Not saying it’s bad or that it’s not good it’s just not great. They did a great job with characters, they are all very well done and Revy is one of my favorite characters. It’s odd because I’m not a big fan of bad language and in real life I would hate her but she’s just an awesome character and very likeable. But one thing I didn’t particularly like was the amount of bad language it’s basically non stop F bombs. That being said don’t think that is the reason I didn’t like it, I wasn’t a fan of the language but I didn’t let that come into play when judging it. But it does make me wonder why is it necessary to have such strong consistent language. Some say because it adds to the realism of the characters and atmosphere which I won’t argue with but if you are worried about realism they should have been more realistic with the gun fights. And in that lies my biggest complaint and that’s the invincibility of the main characters. Revy can shoot from the hip, no look, right between the eyes while doing flips and yet when she’s running straight at Roberta or Ginji with no cover around she can’t hit them and this happens a lot. Also people shoot in a duel like manner and people stand in a circle around them and somehow no one gets hit. I think the unrealistic fight scenes are really what caused me to not fully enjoy it. From a mature anime standpoint I enjoyed 91 days more than Black Lagoon because 91 days had the believability and realism that was consistent compared to Black Lagoon. Again I fully expected and even tried to make myself like Black Lagoon more than I did but it just didn’t do it for me compared to others even though it was still a good anime.

Cant Go wrong with this animation. I Finally Completed my set for my dvd folder. I got the soundtrack of off amazon.jp cause it was way cheaper then amazon.com. I do not support funimation by any means so its a worthless digital code to me. I bought it because it was shipped and sold by amazon.com. With funimation ruining english dubs to the point of no return it has made me love the english subs alot better. That is the only reason why I buy anime. Funimation has ruined English dubs beyond me going back to them So why bother with a useless digital code. I wont even give the code to my worst enemy thats how much I despise funimation. Overall the series is great. Its one I love to watch over again every once in awhile. Reason why I picked it up is its getting harder and harder in my area to get DVDs. If your looking for the Soundtrack dont pay amazon.com prices of 60 bucks it literally 20 to 25 plus shipping on amazon.jp. Overall Great anime 10/10
