Good Brace
I've been wearing this brace for about 3 months now, and am very satisfied. Yes, it's a little pricey but it is very sturdy and does the job. I feel like I got good value for my money. It fits very snugly. That means I don't wear it all day, it gets hot and sweaty underneath and I have to take it off. So I use it when I go out to do yardwork, or go for a walk or hiking, etc. I take it off when I'm just around the house. Take the metal stays out, throw it in the laundry with other clothes, then air-dry it and it is good to go. I like that it has multiple straps on the top and the bottom. I feel that it securely locks to my leg above and below the knee. The first one I got was too snug, I had to return it and get the next larger size. That one also feels snug, but I feel that snug-ivity gives me the support I need. The instructions are laughable. It is fairly self-evident how to adjust the straps, but if you try to follow the instructions, it is like they were written in reverse. So just chuck those instructions. But the rest of the brace is high quality, if you want secure support then this is the brace for you.

A great cost effective brace after a knee injury
My daughter tore her ACL and had surgery and the 9 months of recover and rehab and was back to playing volleyball (she plays almost year around). Mid-school season she was afraid she injured her knee again and after seeing her PT and Dr. she was cleared to play again, but they suggested a brace. She started using the brace and instantly felt more secure and confident in her knee and ability to play the sport she loves! For a cost-effective brace, this has been perfect. The orthopedic office could have one made to her leg/knee, but it was very expensive, we tried this out first to see if it would be a good alternative and we found that it is! Her mobility was good in the brace still and she was able to fit it snuggly to her knee to hold everything in place better. Glad we purchased this for her as an athlete.

Good Support for Damaged Knee
I've purchased and used many different knee supports - including lesser-support versions of the McDavid brand - over the years for my knee that has a completely torn ACL, has been bone-on-bone for at least 20 years, and has had 3 arthroscopic surgeries. The absolute best has been a prescription brace that was partially covered by insurance after my 3rd surgery and is similar to those that professional football players use. That said, I would rank the McDavid Maximum Support Knee Brace with Hinges (429X) as the best over-the-counter sleeve-type brace I have used thus far. It has good support, is easy to get into position, and can fit under trousers. I use it daily while walking, doing yard work, and doing other house work.

Miss labeling at warehouse
They sent the wrong thing the first, looks like a labeling issue that should be cleared up. New knee brace fits great after I ordered a second hoping to get the right thing

Decent brace.
This brace effectively stabilizes a knee with some minor ligament damage. I like that it's easy to remove the hinges for washing. However, I'm not sure I'll order again because the velcro straps delaminated on both of the ones I have after a maybe a dozen or so washings, and these get very sweaty and have to be washed frequently or they get very smelly. This is enough of a nuisance that I only think this brace is OK and probably wouldn't purchase again.

Size up.
I needed a hinged brace for a previous LCL injury for workout purposes. Running on uneven ground and lifting heavy weights has become unstable. This brace is awesome for that. So much support! The only thing I would suggest is ordering one size up. I wore mine for one workout but I’m having to order a new one because it’s simply too small. Worth the purchase though.

Worked well over lower sleeve for skiing
I bought Bracelayer pants for skiing and then slipped this over the top on my damaged knee. It worked very well - stayed in place and didn't irritate. I have to admit, my knee only lasted a few days before it swelled up (UGH), but I was at least able to ski for a while and enjoyed it!

Good brace for ACL support
I have a full ACL rupture in my left knee. This brace is fantastic - has cross straps above and below the kneecap for ligament support and metal lever that prevents hyperextention. I used it on my 10 day ski holiday and it is comfortable (worn whole day) and sturdy. Fell several times on the slope and brace gave me peace of mind. Just worth noting that at the point when I went skiing my injury was around 7 months old, had 2 months of physio in the run up to skiing, am relatively sporty 27 year old female and was waiting for my ACL reconstruction surgery. Having a brace reduces risk of further injury (at least reminds you not to do stupid things on the slopes). Overall well worth the money and I was very glad not to have cancelled my ski holiday.

Mal artículo. Peor servicio
