905 Waterproof Hard Case Empty - Black (905-0001)

We decided to go with this case for a special project where we needed a hard protective case that we could install an inside face plate for an electronic controller. These cases are pre-designed with an inner lip that is designed for mounting a panel. The lip even has screw holes so installation of our control panel is very easy. We tried other well-known cases but we had to secure the faceplate with screws or rivets coming in from the side of the case, compromising its water resistance. These Nanuk cases are built extremely well (even better in our opinion than the "p" brand), the handle is more robust, and the double-action side latches give it the more futuristic look that we desired. Also you can open the latches and fold them all the way open and they "lock" out of the way until you release them. Nice feature if you want the latches to stay out of your way, which we did. Well-priced, well-built, well-designed and the color options are great. Note that this case does NOT come with the foam inserts, so if you're expecting those you will need to choose a different part number that has the foam.

Feels very sturdy and well made. I love the latch design on the side. Also, the orange colour is very easy on the eyes. I plan on using this to protect my camera gear, but also to put personal belongings whenever I'm on a boat to scuba dive or surf. I bought this as I needed something bigger than my Pelican 1120. I suck at reading dimensions, and I find that it's way more massive than the 1120 (it can actually fit it inside). Not that I'm complaining. I think the price I paid for it is worth it, given that it's 1.5x the cost here in my country. It was shipped for free to my place, literally on the other side of the world, in 13 days.

This appears to be a very heavy duty case. I purchased it to hold emergency medical supplies (first aide kit) that I keep in my trunk. It works well for that. It's not so big that it takes up trunk space, but was large enough that it holds all that I needed it to. It's a tight fit, but that works for me, as it keeps the products from rattling around inside. It may be overkill for my purposes (this is very heavy duty) but I'd prefer something that was too strong versus the opposite. I opted for the version without any padding.

Solidly built, great locking mechanism and all-around confidence-inspiring. This case is built like a tank.

I purchased this box for my wife to use during out 20 day grand canyon trip. We were in and out of it every day and it spent the whole trip lashed to the outer frame of the boat. This means it took the full force of the waves in every rapid during the trip. It performed beautifully. Our stuff was always dry and getting in and out of it was super easy. My only complaint is that the lid creates a pinch point on the back of the box and I pinched the hell out of my finger when I was first examining it. Despite this it is a great alternative to (and less expensive than) pelican cases. I'll be buying another one of these for my next trip.

THis is a rugged box made of good plastic and in my opinion rivals and looks better than the Pelican boxes. They're certainly priced better and employ an ingenuous latching system. I highly recommend it.

I've installed this on my motorcycle and it's just brilliant. 100% waterproof, super rugged, I've put 20000km on the bike with this on it, (and its a dual sport) and it's still like new and allows me to carry tools, tire repair kit, battery powered air pump, the basics, at all time.

Awesome quality container. I use this as a small luggage rack container on a motorcycle. Its weatherproof and lockable, and the latches are easy to use, even with gloves on.
