Q: Can I use this cloth to clean the inside of my flute?

It is better to use a pull through swab for the inside of the flute so it can properly get the moisture out of the instrument. This cloth is more so for polishing than removing condensation. I always used a old soft cotton shirt cut up and used the rod that came with the instrument to remove the moisture and let the instrument sit out for 15 minutes (if possible) or let the case be cracked open in my next class when I was in band.

Q: Will this work well with a satin gold lacquered trumpet?

I use it on my treasured Olds recording Trumpet, and am pleased with the results. My Trumpet is also Gold Lacquered. Hope this helps .

Q: How is this different from the microfiber cloth my eyeglass store gives me to clean my galsses?

The cloth is bigger and it has more fibers on it. IMO, a premium microfiber towel will do the job, that’s what I do with my son’s sax, take one and keep it only for that purpose. The key is the solution spray from the same brand.
