Amps matter
I bought sub in May 2015, which is the one I’m writing this review for in 2023. For awhile it was amplified by powered Audioengine A2 speakers (typically a desktop speaker) and it still thumped. No complaints even when powered by glorified computer speakers. I’ve since upgraded to passive speakers and an amplifier, which is how the sub is amplified now. My amp has a lot of audio controls, included sub bass adjustments. Just for giggles, I cranked the sub bass on the Jamo to max (at lower volumes, of course) and it’s insane what this 8” sub can produce (with proper room placement). It’s a sub that is small enough to evenly compensate for bookshelf speaker’s anemic bass. I tune it to a supplement my 5.25 loud speakers. If I want to go full stupid, it can handle an absurd amount of bass that my amp can provide. Of course, I use it for bass compensation (which is all a sub should do), but I wanted to highlight that it can over-compensate for bass fiends under the right conditions. Anyone who says this doesn’t kick either is reviewing it as someone who want overwhelming bass out of the box with powered speakers that weren’t designed for it, or don’t have an amp that can push it (or do have an amp but mistakenly try to push it like a 12” car audio Kicker). Either way, this is perfect for me, so I’ll leave it there.

Perfect for Small 2.1 System
needed a small sub to fit under a desk for a 2.1 system. decided to take a chance on this one based on reviews read here and at Vann's. when price dropped here significantly, I grabbed one. at first, I was not impressed. already own a Dayton 8 inch sub and Yamaha 8 inch sub and those sounded better. but once this thing got some burn in time, it has been just as goodas those subs, if not better. small subs work perfectly in my town home as I share two walls with neighbors. this sub sits under a desk and complements some Polk Monitor 30's. this sub fills in the lower octaves for this music only system. does a really good job of putting out tight, clean bass. have no idea how this would work in a home theater setup, but would imagine it would come up a little short on action movie soundtracks. but this is perfect for a small music system in a bedroom. room is 20 x 20 x 8 and I only have the volume turned up about half way. the crossover is set at a cutoff of 70-80hz and seems to blend very well with the Polks which do well on their own, but can't go much below 70hz. only real reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the markings on the crossover control are not clearly marked and you kind of need to tune by ear. would prefer to have clear indicator marked on the control so I know exactly what cutoff frequency I have selected. nice small footprint so it does not take up space and it is very light which makes moving it around easy. quality seems good with good construction. I recommend it for any similar application.

Great present for xmas
I am happy to have bought this small(active and good looking) black subwoofer that frees my speakers and gives a better sound in our little room. If you are on a budget, if you and your children are gamers this subwoofer is a good purchase for such a quality at a very reasonable price. Cables are enclosed so no need to buy anything to make it work. User manual is visual and instructions super easy to understand. Functions to set are On (strong blue led)/Off or Auto (it works as soons your sound system is on and stops automat ically by itself when off) amp, cut and phase.

Great addition to a small a/v setup
Great price, big sound. Used it to round out a pair of Klipsch The Fives with a Roku TV. This really fills out the lower end and makes the movies that much better. I will consider Jamo products in the future.

Surround System Over Haul -
I purchased the two Jamo 8" sub-woofers for my surround system, they great with my Denon AVR, this was a complete Surround System over haul, added in the Klipsch RC 42 center, the Klipsch rear L & R RS 42's, the Klipsch RF 42's for the front L & R, the front height L & R Klipsch Synergy 10's. I have the Surround Systems set up for 7.1 and now when you watch movies or regular TV in Dolby or PL II you catch so much detail in the surround sound which I was missing without this set up. Awesome sound reproduction...

Jamo SUB 210 Subwoofer
Although not the non-plus ultra in subwoofers, this Jamo holds it's own within my system. I have had a Jamo S 426 3 Wenge five speaker system for about a year, and although it gave good bass with movies, something was still lacking with music, especially many of my classical recordings. Once I integrated this sub into my system though, it all came alive. Movies took on a new depth and some, not all, recordings did sound much better. I think many cd's that I bought years ago were lacking in good bass information. In any case, I've no complaints with this subwoofer. The instructions were laughable, with just symbols for set up, and even though I'm good at putting things together I had to call tech service with a question on the left/right input on the sub and which line to plug into. Simple enough. I also like the "auto" feature that, when you set it you can just not think about it. When it senses a low frequency to where I set the crossover (around 60 hz) it automatically kicks in and the deep bass comes on through. There's no tubbiness to the sound and it presents a good, rich soundfield just to my liking.

Bajos profundos, lo único malo es que a veces se satura el subwofer pero supongo que es por la bocinas de 8 pulgadas que es
