Your cigarette lighter must have continuous power. Shouldn't be an issue but if it's left for a few days it'll drain your battery. Perhaps leave it on park mode when vehicle is off.

Q: Has anyone has a problem with the settings not being held by the camera? Also, not been able to access the menu to redo the settings?

The settings are definitely an issue, the software is what let's this down. I have review video online for this dash
