Fantastic Notebook, nice stitching, very fountain pen friendly
I'm a very big fan of good notebooks, and there are a lot of them out there. This one, ranks as one of my favorite. There are a number of pluses to this notebook: 1) The slight-grid layout is nice. It has a lined-aspect, but also a slight grid (roughly 5mm with dots that subdivide it). Makes creating charts a lot easier. 2) The book is very fountain pen friendly. It rivals that of Campus notebooks in their ability to handle ink (which is better than Rhodia in my opinion). It's a heavier weight paper (compared to Tomoe River Paper), but isn't much thicker than what one would find in printer paper. 2a) Ghosting is very limited, even when using a very wet pen (such as a Visconti Homo Sapiens) 2b) Bleed through is non-existent. 3) This does lay flat. The pages are stitched in a very interesting fashion. This is similar to what you'd get in higher quality journals. There appears to be some glue still used (which is to be expected), but it doesn't appear to solely rely on glue to hold it together. This is a contrast to Campus 100-page notebooks, where there's no stitching and is only glue. 4) B5 is an excellent size of paper. A4/Letter is the standard in the U.S, and honestly I absolutely hate that size. It takes up a lot of space on a table, makes it harder to use a laptop with the notebook in front of you, and so on. A5 is a lot nicer, but honestly I find that generally too small for my work and study journals. I find that format great for dot journals, planning, regular journaling, and so on. The bad: I usually like to include at least one thing negative about products I review, but this notebook is hard to find a fault. The only thing I can remotely think of is to just be careful with the binding. Campus really has this issue, and I suspect that despite the stitching, this one will have some issues too. That comes down to the first 1/4th of the book, and the last 1/4th of the book. While it does "lay flat", it's really best between these marks. On the edges, you're putting a *lot* of pressure on those pages when you're writing on the back side of a page. If you only write on one side of the page, then this isn't a concern. But, if you write on both, then I recommend sticking a small book (I'm using an old campus 100 that I finished off recently) to help brace the pages. Long run, it'll save your binding, if that matters. While the book will likely still be fully functional, in my experience writing in these kinds of journals, it just looks bad. Bad enough that I modified my behavior to fix it. Just a warning about it. I'd really recommend this notebook to anyone in a STEM field especially. The hybrid dot/grid is a very very nice format. 80 pages (160 both sides) is a good amount. Not too much, not too little. If you're a student who is in the humanities, I still think this is a good journal, but would more recommend the campus variety to those people (specifically their 100 line B5 notebooks) as they're cheaper in bulk. If you're doing less writing, and aren't doing it much, consider one of the 30 page campus notebooks (as general for everyone). They're much easier to carry. Still this is a fantastic journal, and I'm finding myself using it a lot now. It's by far not my only journal though. I still use campus for a wide range of things, along with a number of A5 Tomoe River-based journals. This has it's place in my ecosystem.

Do I like the notebook?
This was my first “expensive” composition-style book. I loved it. I did some research before hand so I already knew I’d love it—but seeing it in person is much different. My fountain pens don’t bleed through(easily) and I like the overall look and feel of the book. The red and the black notebooks look SEXY AF. Also, the notebook shipped much faster than amazon estimated so that was a nice surprise.

Excellent for fountain and permanent inks.
The paper in this product is excellent. I use fountain pens and "dip" pins and bottled ink for fountain pens which includes the following brands: Mont Blanc, Diamine, Iroshizuku, Noir Abyssal, Monteverde, Sailor. From these brands I include permanent inks such as Diamine Archival Registrar's Ink and Mont Blanc Permanent Ink. There has been no bleed through and only faint to moderate shawdoing on the paper. I highly recommend this product.

Love the paper
Paper is smooth and fountain pen friendly. Writes easily and no bleed through. I think it’s a good product. One suggestion - it would be nice if the pages were perforated to tear out if needed.

Amazing Notebooks
I've used four notebooks of this size, and they are perfect! I wish they had more paper, but they are sturdy and good for any subject, I suggest getting these. I have also used their smallest size and those are great for pocket journaling and sketching

My Favorite Journal
Hands down, it's my favorite journal. I love the lines- they allow for flexibility of bullet journaling. It is a great size/weight to carry in my handbag.
