You should ask that to the seller at Amazon. When I ordered mine, they were $2 a can and I got 4 cans. Look at the advertisement and see what it says.

Is this thick enough to use as a filling in sandwich cookies?

Yes it is! I have to put a bit of milk in it & butter to thin it out
