My overhead DVD went out and I recently bought this DVD player set for a long trip I took my 7 and 4 year olds on. To my surprise I really liked it be better for many reason. See below for comments. Pro's: 1. Great screen quality and crisp views. 2. Different playing of DVD's simultaneously. 3. HDMI option for iDevices. 4. Does not block rear view mirror. 5. Head rest mounts keep them firmly in place. 6. Ease of use, its is so easy that my 7 year old operates the DVD player without my help. 7. Best of all it was priced just right because the local car electronics store wanted to charge me an arm and leg for the device and labor. This is super easy to install yourself. Con's: 1. None because it comes with a 18 month warranty.

I recently ordered this dual DVD package to replace a single portable DVD player that was starting to give me problems. My family is about to go on a road-trip and we'll need something to keep the kids occupied so they don't pester each other (and the parents) to death. First impressions are good for this set-up. I have it set-up in my daily driver for now to see how it all works. We'll be renting a van for our trip so I should be good to go. So far, so good. The brackets that secure around the head rest posts have plenty of spacers to make sure they fit snuggly. The mount that attaches the player to the bracket seems very secure with good adjutablity. The cable lengths for the headphones and DC power are more than enough. In fact. I will have to find some way to tie them up, away from kid's feet. I did have an issue getting the single DVD to play on both players, but I went back and read the quick start guide and got it figured out. Both picture and sound seem to be good. I haven't checked it myself, but the kids love it. And best of all, it has an 18-month warranty. Hopefully I'll have no need to use it. A couple of cons, which aren't deal breakers for me: no AC adapter is included. I may try to source one in the future. And you can control either DVD player with either remote. So the kids have learned how to pause each others movie and seem to enjoy doing it. Actually, it is pretty funny, as long as there's no drama on the road. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it. UPDATE: The seller has reached out and offered to to supply an AC adapter for in-home use. I was completely happy with just using these in the vehicle, but having the adapter for indoor use make this package even better. This seller has been very accommodating and I do appreciate all the communication from them.

This is a good dvd player/screen combo for showing cartoons to kids in the back seat while on a long road trip. It's somewhat crazy to think that you're getting 2 screen/DVD player combos for a pretty low price. However, when you start viewing the screen, you realize that you're getting exactly what you paid for with a washed out, low quality screen that you might find on an airplane or a bus. After being spoiled with all the high contrast, high resolution retina displays with the modern iPhone/Android phone, you definitely feel like you're going back a dozen years in quality watching these things. This is especially noticeable when you're doing screen mirroring and comparing the video with a laptop. So the cons: * Definitely not a 1080p screen. The video input may accept 1080p, but you can definitely tell there is downsampling going on when you try to have it display small text - the letters appear all pixelated. * Not too much dynamic range for colors. Everything is very washed out and not too crisp. And now for the pros: * Easy setup - took me about 10 minutes setting up both displays; the mount seems easy to take on and off and is quite sturdy. * The kids are going to love this on our 20 hour road trip. * Successfully played a DVD and got it to mirror on to the other display using the "AV out" -> "AV in" port * Successfully played a movie from my laptop to both screens with a hdmi splitter. * Successfully played Nintendo Switch on both displays with a hdmi splitter. * Watching movies and cartoons, the image quality is passable, especially considering you are watching this in a vehicle. The HDMI splitter I went with is "HDMI Splitter Adapter Cable -HDMI Splitter 1 in 2 Out HDMI Male 1080P to Dual HDMI Female 1 to 2 Way, for HDMI HD, LED, LCD, TV，Support Two TVs at The Same Time Transmit Video and Audio Simultaneously Brand: RuiGE". I liked this one because it didn't require an external power adapter and has worked well for my minivan application. Of course I'd love to see a higher quality display, but I'm pretty happy with this for the price that I paid. Just looking for something to occupy the kids on the road trip, and I think this will work well. Will leave an update review if anything new comes up after our trip!

Live these tvs kept kids entertained on many road trips! I decided to wait to right a review as we had went through quite a few different ones that were not lasting and I wanted to leave honest review! Well its been over two years and they are the best set we have gotten thus far no issues great quality has lasted us way beyond expectation just an over all great product definitely a win on this one!

I have bought this in May 6, 2024. After 3 months, it not working but I know it have a warranty for 18 months. So I contact the Amazon customer service and they ask me to contact the seller. And guess what, the seller ask me to contact the Amazon again, and it ask me to contact the manufacturer. And yep, they told me that they don’t sell those items and ask me to contact the Amazon again. And now it blocked so I can’t do any return on the items. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER, it suck, very annoying.

*I talked with the people who sell this item and they informed me after lost of back and forth over a week that there is nothing they can do to help source the pieces which are lost. This makes my whole system completely unusable as I cant put it in my new vehicle. Make sure you keep track of everything you receive with your order because you wont be able to talk to the company directly or get any replacement parts. Not happy as i spent a pretty penny on this and it works great outside of it not being stable on the headrest now it doesn't have the adjustment pieces.* DISAPOINTING AFTER SALES SERVICE I have loved our portable dvd players for the car, Overall I am happy with the purchase. It's tough and has lasted well for my kids. It's also easy enough to use that a 5 & 7 year old are able to change the DVD's themselves and start the movie themselves. I actually love the simple design for that reason. I also will say that the mounting bracket is sturdy and not easily moved if you have the right adjustment pieces. The only downside is that there are a lot of pieces to keep track off and of course we have lost the adjustment pieces for the brackets so they will fit on different size headrests.
