Ukrainian vocabulary for English speakers - 9000 words (American English Collection)

I purchased this book to help learn Ukrainian, and it is incredibly useful. There isn't a whole lot out there, and I would highly recommend purchasing.Even if you are not interested in learning the language, the vocabulary is very conveniently grouped for someone who needs it as a reference, and it's relatively small, easy to fit in smaller purses and bags.

It has a lot of words from all different areas and subjects, in that sense it is great. The problem is it only goes from English to Ukrainian, you cannot look up any words by the Ukrainian first. I'm sure all of the T&P books are like this. Also all the words are by subject, so theres no alphabetical. This makes it difficult to look up words without first looking up the subject areas.

A nice book which covers important and frequent words used in Ukrainian language. An index would have made the book easier to use but on the whole it is good for learning by dipping into and learning an interesting language.

The one major failure in this book is the absence of any indication of where the stress is placed on a word, essential for speaking Ukrainian (and Russian) This book is being returned to Amazon, its value for increasing spoken Ukrainian skill is severely limited
