I gifted this journal/book to my friend. She loves writing poetry and such. This book is perfect for her creativity and writing. The colors were very vibrant and looked just like the pictures depicted. The book itself is quality made including the cover and the pages themselves. The pages have a nice texture and the covers are well made. Overall, my friend loves this journal and also loves the quality. I debating purchasing one for myself as it is well worth the money.

Great for journaling or sketching with colored pencils or pens. Beautiful pages inside. I will buy again.

This journal is a great size for my purposes (carrying in my purse). The pages are as picture. The watercolor art is very pretty, and light enough to write over. I guess I didn’t watch the product video because I was surprised by the patch on the cover that says “summer.” But it’s fine. The cover is a nice linen-look cloth. All the pages pretty much lay flat when the book is opened.

This beautiful collection of images (all unique, no repeats) serve as a wonderful backdrop for your creations and creativity, whether that takes the form of writing, drawing or doodles. IMHO, some of these illustrated pages have more of an image than others, so if your sole purpose is to only use this as a place for your drawings or illustrations, this might not be the best vehicle for your needs. However if you do a variety of things or you only record words, then this will be ideal for you. The subtle backgrounds are just a pleasant little extra "oomph," some eye-candy, for your creation. I have not found it yo lie flat at the outset (onset?) -- I have to hold it down, hold the pages spread with a wee bit of pressure -- I'm confident this will improve as I continue to use it. Although the description listed somewhere -- (was it on the website? was it on the protective paper wrapper on the journal? I forget..) -- stated something to the effect that the "Chinese" characters that previously appeared on some of the pages have all been removed in this edition. Well, yes, i found this to be accurate: there are not any characters appearing on any of the pages. But in a cursory examination of the book, if I had to hazard a guess as to the country of origin, I would say it's a Japanese product, not Chinese. Certainly I am far from being an expert in Asian cultures, jeeze louise! Perhaps this is a moot point, as there is no writing within the book's illustrations, so who cares what the original language was? I am so weird, yes, I know. But I noticed it the discrepancy and was puzzled by it. The other peculiarity I picked up on was the journal's cover -- it indicated this volume was the (forget exact season) Summer issue. Ohhh? Does this then mean there are three other seasons available, perhaps up for sale? Well, Mr. Amazon, where are they? I'd like to examine them, and possibly purchase them! I would think other customers would feel similarly. So that's my two cents, for what its worth. :-)

Very well made but colors of pages are much paler than shown. Pretty but not as pretty as shown online.

I bought two, and I am happy with my purchase. I was going to use one of my other journals first because it's a large journal, and I have a lot of purging to do, but when I saw "Summer" written on the front cover of this journal, I opened the book, looked at a few pages; the art work is lovely, and since it's the Summer season, these two will be my journal books for the Summer:)

Journal It is beautifully done. The pages are done in subtle watercolour brushstrokes. You can use this as a daily journal, doodle and write notes, write poetry, or even paint over a subtly coloured background. Great as a gift for a creative person.

Love this journal, have purchased several. I like the weight of paper and the water colour designs on each page.

És preciosa la tuneé un poco para usarla en el 80 cumpleaños de mi suegra. Usamos cada uno una pagina para escribir una dedicatoria y la verdad que quedó muy bonita. Cada página es una acuarela.

La libreta está padrísima, los diseños de las hojas son todos diferentes, con colores e imágenes de flores y/o naturaleza. Es de pasta gruesa, es pequeña pero muy linda. Es un poco cara para el tamaño, pero vale la pena adquirirla

I’ll definitely buy another one. That’s how nice this notebook is. Great for journaling and the design is beautiful. It’s not bulky and good quality of paper, it doesn’t bleed and I use gel pen for writing.
