My two cats love this scratcher and both use it multiple times daily. They love scratching the heck out of it! I’m amazed that it looks as good as new with how much use it has had. It’s been a few months now and it’s still going strong, not even had to turn it over yet, it’s holding up incredibly well- well worth the money!

We’ve tried a fair few scratch mats over the years — angled ones, post ones, ones that looked like tiny sofas (why??) — but this flat mat is the winner by far. Our cat is 14. She’s basically a retired diva now. Still glamorous, still grumpy, and absolutely certain that any new item in the house must first be sniffed, ignored, and possibly judged. But this one? She loved it immediately. No dramatic sulking, no suspicious circling — she just walked over, gave it a test scratch, and flopped on it like it was a luxury daybed. Job done. We even do a little routine to encourage her — one of us kneels down and pretends to scratch it (yes, we are those people now), and she just stares like “Are you alright?” before taking over and showing us how it’s really done. She’s using it instead of the carpet — which, frankly, deserves a medal. The mat doesn’t slide, doesn’t fray after two minutes, and she seems to find the texture extremely satisfying (as do we, when it saves the stair runner). If your cat’s in her golden years but still partial to a good scratch — and you’d rather not replace your flooring — this flat-shaped marvel is the mat to get.

Cat really loved this. Good quality, but he has scratched his way through it already. Keeps him satisfied and stops scratching the furniture.

The cats love them. Helped to stop them from clawing the carpet. They could be considered expensive for a scratching board that needs replacing regularly but my cats like them so it’s worth it for me.

Small and sheds loads after kitties scratch it. I've previously got cheaper, bigger ones from TK Maxx.

My six-month old kittens use this, although not as much as I'd like them to - they also use it as a bed! It is quite robust, I've accidently stood on it several times and it has withstood my weight (all 11+ stone of me!) without sustaining any damage.

I was a bit sceptical over this, but our kitten loves this scratcher! I put this scratcher by the litter tray, so every time cat goes in and out, he uses the scratcher. He also likes playing with it. Its now a moth since i got it, and it should last for a few more. As for cleaning, hoover does the best job removing wee bits of paper that come off it.

The cat absolutely loves it, got her to stop scratching the carpet and she even sleeps on it. When she scratches it, however, the cardboard comes apart and lots of small crumbs fall off. But keeping it on the windowsill and cleaning it every couple of days it's manageable. I guess I had hoped it would be more durable, since at this rate we're gonna have to buy her another soon
