Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My first thought when unboxing this kettle was wow its super lightweight, almost too lightweight. It seems very thin and weak, so we will see how that goes as we use our kettle 2-3 times a day. The next thing I noticed was I never heard it whistle. Upon inspection the water was definitely boiling, but no whistle. I pushed the lid down tighter and it finally began a very beautiful, but quiet, whistle. This is a disappointment to me bc I really need a loud whistle to get my attention as I'm a busy mom of 4 and normally doing 10 other things while waiting for my water. However my husband loves it so we will keep it and see how it holds up. Good thing it's super pretty!!

Buyer beware. Disappointed.
So I bought this one versus others because of the "review" from the Becka person who posted a video. I filled it to several different levels and it boiled for at least 10 minutes and no whistle. Nothing. Steam comes from various places so i don't believe there is enough pressure to whistle. It is a beautiful pot. It does boil water. It came well packaged. It matches our other rainbow utensils. We also didn't get the infuser, which is another reason I would have gone with a different product.

The whistle is fading
Cute tea kettle, not super sturdy but great to look at. It had a low-pitched whistle, almost like a train that I enjoyed. The whistle, however, seems to be fading. I don't mind a softer whistle but I want a whistle.

Unique and we love it!
We fell in love with the color (AND the price was great!). My husband uses this tea kettle to heat water for our pour over coffee. We loved the fact that this kettle had a more subdued whistle instead of one that screeches across your nerves.

Fantastic sound!

What Whistle?
It doesn't whistle. That was the reason I bought it. Disappointing for sure.
