It's an amazing rubber tape.
Boy, this stuff really kicks ass, and i'm not joking. I bought this because I installed a 6 camera CCTV system on my house. They say that the cameras and the Ethernet (POI) are waterproof to 67. The cameras maybe but the connectors wern't. I did all the connections on all the phones. Some of the connectors were under some tiles or overlap of the building while others were just out to the elements. After a few days of heavy rain i lost signal to the cameras that did not have any building overlap like under tiles or doorframe. The cables were wet and connectors rusted. The water had seeped in and destroyed the cables and the cameras by the ethernet connection. Thankfully the company replaced the cameras, I bought a better quality ethernet cables and instead of just leaving the connections out in the open which they say is waterproof i was not taking anychances as all the cameras that were out before were damaged with the rain. On the new cameras I encased the ethernet cable connections with this product. It bonded to itself in minutes. Nothing can get in now not even air, it's air tight and very waterproof. Great product. Does what it says it will.

Great tape ever for non conventional uses.
Bought to reattach a washer blade that had come loose while I arrange for a new washer. It doesn’t stick for ever as it’s not exactly what it’s intended for HOWEVER. A couple of strips across the blade and one along the side for extra security and I can get my washing done as normal for a couple of months before I need to replace the tape. It’s definitely waterproof and super easy to use and considering what I’m using it for actually works really well. I got several uses out of the roll before I needed to look at getting another one. I’ve also used it to patch up a hole in the sink at work and that is still holding strong many months later despite the sink getting heavy retail kitchen use multiple times per day. I will say the extreme temperature thing is a bit misleading. Anything over 40 degrees seems to soften the sealant and make it come loose easier. But for cooler temperatures it’s brilliant.

Brilliant stuff but doesn’t stick to wet surfaces
It wouldn’t stick to wet guttering despite saying it can even be applied under water. However when applied to a dried part it sticks immediately and fixed an annoying drip instantly. Also used it to fix a crack in lead flashing and it worked perfectly. Would definitely recommend but note that it seems to need a dry surface to stick correctly

Seems a good product.
Temporary Fix for Touring Caravan roof joint. Seems to have adhered well and was fairly easy to align without creases.

Very easy to use .
Old Landrover with leaky sunroof . previous owner botched repair with silicone. I needed better temp repair 'til I save up for all the kit required ! Cleaned up surfaces of roof and glass with soapy water and dried off well . Temperatures were moderate , warm then cool. Located Scotland . Cut tape with scissors roughly to size for back then sides then front of job. Very very easy to handle due to backing film on tape , so you can practice line up and trim or shape rounded corners before peeling off backing (getting backing off was hardest part !) Once you are happy with shape/ position etc. peel back a couple of inches of backing and go for stick down at one end . A little tension on the whole length can then be achieved and the backing slowly pulled from under the repair tape. WARNING this tape is extremely sticky and CANNOT be repositioned or adjusted after contact . I wasn't too fussy about any little air bubbles and only used my hands and fingers to apply . when pressed along all edges , you could really see the super adhesive backing oozing out from the edge of the waterproof rubberised cover . I really think this was a great product and may stay on alot longer than anticipated . It has not rained yet so need to see as I didn't have time to water test today . Only other issue may prove to be how it reacts to wind effect of driving . ( its a landrover , not a fast car ) . All in all , if you need something like this type of application , I would highly recommend . Great price too .

3-Star Product with Great Potential
Let me begin by saying this review is marked three stars not because the product is bad—far from it. In fact, the waterproof tape in question is thoughtfully packaged, appears well-manufactured, and holds great promise for a variety of sealing tasks. Unfortunately, it simply didn’t perform as I needed in one very specific scenario, which ultimately defined my experience. I purchased this waterproof tape with one main use case in mind: to patch an underwater leak. My expectations were high, especially after seeing the claims made by the product description and a handful of positive reviews. I was hoping to stick it onto a submerged surface directly, expecting it to adhere firmly and stay in place, even under water pressure. However, that ideal scenario never came to pass. No matter how carefully I attempted to apply the tape—both submerged and then with the surface pre-treated and dried—it simply would not bond effectively. Let me explain exactly what I tried. The first method was applying the tape directly under water. The material had a smooth, rubberised feel, flexible enough to conform to surfaces, but while it clung to itself decently, it wouldn't bond to the plastic or vinyl pond liner I was attempting to patch. No matter how much pressure I applied or how carefully I smoothed out the tape, it began lifting within minutes. Thinking I had perhaps misapplied it or the temperature played a role, I removed the section, dried the area thoroughly, and applied the tape again. Then I slowly reintroduced water to the site. At first, it seemed to hold better, but within a day, signs of failure reappeared. It’s entirely possible that I received a bad roll—that is, a defective batch where the adhesive layer had degraded. Reading other reviews, I noticed that many users shared a similar sentiment. Complaints ranged from the tape not being sticky at all to reports that even heat treatment (using a hairdryer or heat gun) made no difference in adhesion. Others stated that even in dry conditions, the tape peeled off smooth surfaces like PVC or metal. And yet, some users report excellent results on roof tiles, plastic covers, and outdoor pipes. So which is it? This duality points to either quality control issues or a product that is extremely sensitive to surface conditions. On dry surfaces, the tape did have a better hold. I tested it on a painted wooden board and a rough brick wall, and it clung well for several days, even through light rain exposure. The material appears durable: thick enough to feel secure, slightly stretchable, and easy to cut with scissors. But for my original use—wet application or underwater sealing—it simply wasn't up to task. From a materials standpoint, the tape is made from a heavy-duty, rubber-like compound with a plastic backing you peel away to expose the adhesive. The adhesive has a tacky consistency, not wet or oily, but not as sticky as duct tape. When pressed onto a clean, porous surface like unfinished wood, it grabs decently well. On smooth, glossy, or curved surfaces, its bond becomes noticeably weaker unless supported by external pressure like clamps. The real issue, however, lies in its marketing. If this tape had been advertised primarily for dry applications with incidental water exposure, I would likely be writing a very different review. But the strong implication that it can be used in ponds, on boats, or even submerged conditions, sets expectations unrealistically high. It creates a disconnect between what the tape actually does well and what people think it will do based on the label. That said, this tape has potential. For emergency patches on dry roofs, window frames, garden hoses, or outdoor equipment, it could be incredibly useful—if applied correctly. The key is preparation. The surface must be clean, free from oil, completely dry, and ideally, slightly textured. Applying pressure across the full surface area and allowing it to set for several hours improves results dramatically. In cold weather, warming the tape with a heat gun before application (not after) seems to help activate the adhesive too. I would suggest keeping a roll in your DIY kit for quick fixes around the house or garden, especially for materials that don’t regularly come in contact with running water. It’s particularly good at binding its own edges—so for wrapping, binding, or encasing something like a cracked pole or hose, it functions very well. But for high-stakes waterproofing—like sealing a leaky pond, tap, or submerged pipe—you’ll need to look at proper underwater epoxies or specialist marine sealants. In conclusion, this is a three-star product because it does serve a purpose, and it does it well—but only under very specific, well-prepared conditions. It is not the miracle waterproof tape it may appear to be. If you understand its limitations and apply it where it excels, you'll likely be pleased. Just don’t expect it to stick underwater out of the box, and don’t plan your entire repair around it without a contingency. For light-duty, water-resistant household fixes? Absolutely. For full waterproof performance under wet application? Not quite. Use with caution, and always test first.

Bra vulkduk
Hade dock problem att fästa på vissa ytor som hade lite fett eller fukt. Användes utan problem på torr byggfolie.

Stevig spul, plakt goed
