This is probably the nicest toilet seat I have ever seen. It is a nice heavy wood seat that is painted white. The removable feature is OK, not the easiest, but it works. The slow close works way better than I thought it would. We have had it for about 2 months and I have not seen any degradation in this feature. I thought it would work for a short time and then start to fade, not the case here. The only sound I ever hear from this seat is when I open it and it leans back against the tank. There is a little tap when it hits the tank. Never a sound at all when it closes.

This is such a quiet-close seat. The only problem is I now go to other people's homes, and slam their seats accidentally because I'm so used to this slow-close, quiet seat! It is molded wood, so my only suggestion is to be careful with what cleaning products you use to clean it. I owned one seat for only a year, and I took the finish off with a basic floor/tub/sink cleaner that I have used for years on most surfaces. So, my suggestion to the manufacturer would be to include some information about cleaning, which I did not find in the packaging. But, the quality of the seat, the screws and the caps are all such that I still rate a 5.

Works as advertised however I don't see how you can lift off the caps to clean around the back of the toilet.

Will keep, but expected a more decorative design than shown.

Great product. Our first purchase is in the master bath. We added one to the powder room. Guests always complement how quiet the lid closes. Like how easy it is to clean all of the nooks and crannies.

the slightly more expensive versions are better. I will fork out the extra few dollars to get the plastic ones. these wood versions w/ a gloss coat wears out after a few months and looks cheap.

Delivered with a mashed box and small chip, but works great.
