No. Does not use k-pods or Keurig pods/cups. I bought it by mistake when it came up on an Amazon search for “K-pod coffee brewer”. Sending it back.

Can you use K-Cups for this and how?

No, it does not take k-cup or any other hard shell. It takes either soft pods, which are like tea bags, or it takes a disposable filter if you choose not to put grounds directly in the mesh basket. I have never used the soft pods, and I do not like the occasional coffee grounds that get through if I put grounds directly in the mesh basket. What is the power consumption...how many watts?

Hi, The unit is rated at 650 watts and 120 volts. The unit does not get very warm and the coffee is made rather quickly so It seems the design is well done in using the power to make coffee efficiently.
