I’m writing this review, not just to give it a great rating but also to show another way they can be used. There are no cons. They are heavy, small and hold whatever you’re displaying very well. See my photo. They were part of table center pieces, holding a photo of the honoree. The black color was gorgeous; everyone loved them. Making it even better, as luck would have it, the tiny notch on the base fit snuggly on the other part of the center piece!

Sturdy and very cute

I actually bought these to use as food info cards at family buffets,etc... not name/place cards... They work very well. They are silver.. sturdy and a bit weighted at the bottom, but not too much. They do stand up. They are just about the right height at about 2 3/4" from top to bottom. They are chrome or stainless color... but it is not noted on the box so they probably are not either. They do wash up, I just wipe off if they become messy. The base is about 1" in circumference.. in case that helps. I bought some "name" cards to slide in... and that works. But you could buy some card stock or even recipe cards and cut your own. I will update if there any use issues. They arrived quickly (I have prime) and in good condition.Gee... if there is anything other info I can provide that would be more helpful, please let me know. Very cute. Decent weight. Versatile. Easily holds 4x6 as well as smaller placeholder cards. FYI, you cannot slide the card all the way down through the clip to the base as shown in one of the product photos. They have soldered it shut to now prevent that. And the clip is very tight so it may mar your place card. Especially if it has a flood of color printed on the bottom or the paper scratches easily. To prevent the marring, just slip a piece of paper in front of your card before you insert it or open up the clip slightly with a pair of needle nose pliers.

Very cute holders for a table. Used them to prop up small cards on tables for an event. Has a fancy look to them for the price. Quite short so be careful you know which version you are ordering. I would be willing to try the taller versions too.

These worked perfect for buffet tables I put together for an event. I don't understand the negative reviews, the size is stated. I purchased the 3" size and they worked out great. They are 3", look at a ruler, that's the size. They are heavy and sharp looking. I received many compliments on them. I used chalk paper (Cardstock) that I cricut cut into shapes for my food signs. These stands held them without issue. I didn't have to slide additional paper, the clips are very sturdy and can hold cardstock quality paper (maybe not notebook paper, but I really didn't try that since I wanted my buffet to look classy). I recommend these if you are in the market for something other than a food tent. I have use these for other purposes and they are the best I've seen.

We use these signs to hold name cards at board meetings. For the price they are a great little gadget to ensure the name cards are upright. However, we printed the cards on cardstock and they often fall over in the middle of meetings with the slightest touch. I underestimated how much weight they could hold. There is no weight attached to the bottom, and I think that adding one would make them much sturdier. If you want these to hold a lightweight paper they would likely work well.

I ordered these for a 50th wedding anniversary dinner and used them to hold various photos of the couple showing their journey together. I placed the holders scattered around the tables. and everyone loved them. The photos displayed clearly at a good height. We then used the same holders for Thanksgiving dinner to display sitting name cards. They looked beautiful. Dark color provided good contrast again the rest of the table decor. Light weight but sturdy. Individually wrapped in their own plastic bags for protection. I recommend this product.
