Outstanding Machine For Passionate Coffee Lovers!
This is a fantastic coffee machine. I feel like a proper barista using it. It’s perfect for home use. Firstly it’s incredibly stylish ( I have the Brushed Stainless Steel ), sleek and easy to clean. The size is just perfect on the kitchen counter, we have a galley kitchen that isn’t particularly big but the machine fits in perfectly and is not too big. The instruction booklet is easy to read and helpfully has several pages clearly worded, with diagrams, on how to use and set the settings for first use. Also pages for troubleshooting. There are two settings for coffee dispensing - 1 shot or 2 shot. The frother is excellent and with a bit of practice ( and lots of YouTube tutorials) you can be making coffee art like a pro! The timer to dispense coffee and grind settings for the beans there are clear instructions what to set them to in the manual but I did alter slightly to reduce output and get a slightly finer grind of coffee. The great thing is it’s very easy to adjust to suit your taste/ beans and very user friendly. As you can see in the photos this Barista Pro machine delivers a professional level of creme on the coffee that you would expect in a high end independent coffee shop. The coffee comes out so smooth and flavourful as well as perfectly hot even if you have just turned the machine on. This is the perfect buy or gift for any coffee lover, a machine that respects the standards we now expect from our coffee and allows you to treat it as more of a passion and art form than most standard coffee machines. It’s never leaked and it’s very quiet as well. Looks stunning, easy to clean, great digital display, durable solid materials, well built and delivers a great cup of coffee.

Fabulous machine.
There's a learning curve to dialling in espresso but you can still make great coffee with no experience. Three second heat up time is excellent.

Great machine once dialled in
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great machine once dialled in This is a great coffee machine once you’ve taken the time to set it up correctly for your beans. The build quality is excellent, with a solid stainless steel finish that feels premium and well made. It does take some time to “dial in” the settings. On the default grind setting, the coffee came out far too fine. Even increasing the grind size to the maximum didn’t fully solve the issue, so we had to adjust the burr grinder. This was easier than expected by following the online manual. After that, it was a case of fine-tuning the grind size, grind time, and water amount. The setup process was a bit frustrating at first, but a few YouTube videos helped and we got there in the end. Now it takes just moments to make a very good cup of coffee. I’m still perfecting the milk frothing, but that’s down to my technique rather than any fault with the machine. Overall, very happy with the purchase despite the initial frustration

The Barista Pro Grinder Failed within 7 months.
I bought The Barista Pro on the 17/6/25 and it was going great guns until this morning "12/1/26" which is about 7 months of usage. I went to make a coffee this morning and heard the grinder making a high pitched screeching noise " See Short Video" Upon contacting Amazon about it, they have agreed to issue a refund so I can order a replacement as the seller in this case is 3rd party. Its a pain sending it back as its a heavy machine but what do you do.

Works great, excellent features, awesome coffee!
I decided to take the plunge and move away from pod coffee to sourcing artisan beans from my local roaster and taking control of all aspects of the brewing process. This machine allows me to choose how fine or coarse to grind my beans, exactly how much coffee I use per brew and how long I run the infusion for. The consistency of every step is excellent! I also appreciate the low water alert feature - previous machines I have used only fail when the water runs out, but this one alerts you to refill the reservoir before it runs dry, ensuring you never airlock your pump. I also really like the Dosing Funnel attachment, this make the whole process mess-free! No more grounds scattered all over the countertop! Using the funnel when grinding keeps all the coffee in the brew filter while you tamp it down with the included tamper (which stores away very handily in it's magnetic storage bay). While I don't often use the steam wand to froth milk (I drink my coffee black) when I do, it works flawlessly and is easy to keep clean. I highly recommend this machine for people who really enjoy coffee and want the best tase for the least hassle.

Excellent upgrade from my (now broken) Barista Express
After 8 years and 10 months of daily use, my Sage Barista Express finally died; which although was a loss, It felt like the perfect excuse to make a change and upgrade. The Express is a great "intro" machine for the price but I wanted to delve a little deeper. I saw that Sage had recently introduced the Barista Impress which is effectively a Barista Express with a "simpler" tamping tool - replacing a traditional hand-held tamper with a lever system. Over 8 years I think I got quite good at making tasty espresso, and my tamping game seemed OK; so the Impress model was not really offering me anything useful over the Express. That led me to the Pro. The benefits below are a mix of what I'd read and what I've encountered since using it: The Thermojet internals heat up in seconds - much quicker from button press to being able to make espresso than with the Express. The noise - It's quieter. Everything is quieter. The grinder, the pump, the steaming. Maybe age had a role to play here on my almost-nine year old Express…. But it's noticeably quieter all round. The grinder - It's still a conical burr grinder, but the Pro offers 30 settings vs the 16 on the Express… though I think I am having some issues here (see below) The steam wand - It looks similar but it has 4 holes vs 1 on the express. Doesn’t sound like much but I'm steaming faster and the foam is much better than I ever achieved on the Express The LED display - I liked the analogue guage on the Express, but the Pro has "just enough" tech in the form of the display and controls over say an Oracle which (to me) is just too much. The custom menu and timer is really helpful when dialling in new coffee beans. Some things I like less: The coffee hopper - the hopper holds less coffee than my old Express. I can't get a 225g bag of coffee in the hopper on the Pro and close the lid fully. I could put a full 225g in the bean hopper on my Express. These are interchangeable by they way between the Express and Pro, and it may be the current Express has the same hopper as the Pro. The water tank - The filter in the tank seems needlessly complex compared to the Express (and more expensive to change). Also, the water tank will not sit steady on a flat surface (unlike the Express). It's not a big issue - it's just if I put it on a worktop and fill with water from a tap, the tank will begin to rotate. That never happened on the Express. Also, the water tank is a very similar design between the Pro and the Express. It's the same width and depth, but the tank from the Express sits just slightly higher ( a couple of mm) than the Pro body. It's a shame they aren't the same for spares and interchangeability. I know I'm picking here but it's interesting to note the differences. The grinder. Some of this may be lack of familiarity, but I've spent a couple of weeks dialling-in the machine with (a lot) of test shots. I am stuck between three grind settings and my experience is varied. I'm generally getting a good to very good shot. It's just not consistent … even though I believe I am consistent in how I'm making the espresso. I'm using an IMS basket; and weighing my coffee in (after emptying any retained coffee from the grinder) and the time taken to get the 36g of coffee out. I've no changed the internal grinder setting from the default 6 to 3, because I was down to grind setting 2 or 1 when the machine was delivered; so It had very little real world adjustment. That has in turn moved the grind setting from 1 or 2 to 13/14/15 on the display which gives me much more room for adjustment gor other coffee beans. With a regular coffee bean I am getting variable results in terms of time taken to get 36g of coffee out from my 18g of beans in. (on my double shot). I'm using a distribution tool and press as well so I'm left scratching my head a little bit on the reasons why I'm getting such variable extraction times (from 22 seconds to 46 seconds). The coffee output is generally good to very good, and this is me trying to fine tune what I'm doing and the machine is doing. I'm also worried this may be me trying to convince myself to but a standalone grinder ! On the whole though, I am pleased I went for the Barista Pro over another Barista Express or the Barista Impress. It's a great machine that you can run very simply (fill the hopper and set the grinder) but also lets you have some very helpful control over the whole process if you want to get in to that level of detail and tuning in search of a "perfect" shot. The grinder is the only thing I'm left thinking I might need to improve upon in the future on an otherwise excellent machine.

Exceptional machine for the home barista
This is an upgrade on my Sage Barista Express (also an excellent machine) and I’m already enjoying the significantly faster times to heat up, create steam, foam milk, and be ready for the next cup. I’m still working on fully dialling in the extraction but I’m already seeing the potential for improved coffee quality. Reading some of the other reviews, I think it’s important to point out that this is NOT a bean-to-cup machine. It’s primarily a manual operation and you need to understand or want to learn the fundamentals of grind, dose, tamp, and extraction to get good results. Honestly, my first three pulls were terrible. I can imagine anyone expecting to press a button and get a good cup would be sorely disappointed. For me, I love the process of making my own coffee and continually experimenting and improving. With patience and skill, this machine will develop sweeter, richer, tastier espressos and lattes than you can find in most coffee shops. You will be fully rewarded for your investment in the machine, finding your perfect extraction, and using high quality, fresh beans. If you want to push a button, buy a Nespresso. If you want to be a superstar home barista, this is your next purchase. Hats off to Amazon for speed of delivery - only 13 hours from order to doorbell ring!
